Do you get power for it from machine or do you need a power supply?

On igt machines I am pulling power straight from the machine.

Thanks for the pin information Ian.  I was looking for information on this so I could try working out the bally connections for people.  Smiley  I will have to dig through my connectors to see if I have the right ones to tie into these locations for testing to see what happens and start discovering settings.

Do these work with Bettor TITO?  I already have 3 of those, but need one more.  Can I take a ticket printed from Bettor TITO and put it in a machine with TITO @ Home and vice versa?

Thanks!

If you can send me a photo of a ticket that came out of a machine with Bettor TITO I can tell you if it will work with it.  I have not personally seen one of those units, but I believe it uses the same validation as my system.

Just as an FYI -  to all the Bettor TITO customers out there -

We have no idea if this board will work with our units or not.   If it is compatible and all you're
looking for is simple ticket redemption system then go for it.  We enjoy competition and applaud Bhinkley for a job well done.

HOWEVER -

Without breaking my NDA -     Our units will soon be able to be upgraded with features that no other board will be able accomplish.
Prepare yourselves -  the revolution in slot ownership is about to happen.    More to come...................

Those tickets are generated using system validation, which is the same that my board uses, so tickets would work between those systems it looks like.

I look forward to the evolution of this

If there are any ideas/ requests lets hear them - Brian's has done a great Job on the hardware side and adding features in SW is easily done.

Wondering if you and Brian, are planning to make some donation from your Tito sales, as Bettor Tito is doing. To NLG.  Prefer to buy from members that help the site, Noticed that Brian is not even a contributing member?

Once I get past the initial costs of getting this going I can look into donating a part of sales to the site.

Thank you P.B.  And thank you for your support with this project.  With the boards you have gotten from me after this donation I have now cleared my initial costs of the project.  From this point forward $1 from each board sold will be donated to NLG.

Just to clarify things here - This project is bhinkleys and I am not making any money from it and not involved in it in any way apart from supplying code.

Brian had a board ready to be sold but was having problems getting the software working - I bought one of his boards late last year and ported my code to a 20 pin chip that would run on his board. Its a nicely made board available at a good price and a great alternative to the developement boards I was initially using in my projects and this is the reason why I fully support his project.

The SAS@Home project will continue to be available for free to anyone wishing to DIY - You are welcome to PM me.

To clarify on TZTech's post, the special thanks I am giving to him in helping to get the project off the ground was not saying he was gaining anything financially by helping.  He was gratious enough to buy a board that was untested and not working yet with the code I had on it so far to help me get it up and running.  The costs I charge for the boards are barely making anything for me as he can probably verify based on what he has built.  My goal of the project is not for making profit, it is to get a well made product to NLG members at a reasonable price because I enjoy doing this as a hobby and want to spread the enjoyment.  The cost charged is basically only covering parts and labor to assemble the boards.

Now for some hopefully exciting news.  Me and TZTech are discussing new options to build into my boards and we have some good ones so far.  If you have any ideas for added features, please let me know and I will see if we can add them.

You can!

Modify the DIP switches on your bill validator to not accept all bills.

I shut the dip switches off on my BV's and now it only reads the tickets but rejects all the Bills.

Now my machines don't take any cash at all. I just leave a bunch of tickets out and everyone play's off of them

and if somebody tries to stick REAL Money in the machine it just spits it back out.  applause

Nope, when I turn dip switches off it will not take tickets. Got it working. In setup set bills to 0. Then it takes tickets & returns bills.
