I have a DD Delux I just picked up and it has no sound , the problem is in the mpu as I tried it another slot and it had no sound there and played the other board in the DDD and it did have sound so the problem is in the mpu what can I look for or test ? Thanks

There is a volum knob on most S+ boards. It's on the top left.  Try turning CCW. Some are hard to turn.

It may have the dip switch on the board turned off. I think it is #3

He would still get SOME sound if his machine's SP chip relied on the DIP switches, regardless of the position.

DIp switch is on speaker good , just no sound, could it be the game or reel chip? this game was a $100. machine and has a bell wired into it?

Look for GAME PROM printed on board.
There should be a label (white in color on chip) with an SP number which would be either a 3 or 4 digit number. What is the number?

Probably the capacitor next to the volume control pot. I don't have a board handy to give you the location number. But it is about the diameter of a pencil and about half inch tall.
