Hi all, I just picked this one up today,01-97 Universal Super Jackpot sys-94033 game-95033 I gave it the once over & everything looks pretty good accept for the main board. It has some old sloppy repairs that were further damaged by another battery meltdown lol. I have looked around abit & have not been able to find a replacement board,(board: 94014-main4) any suggestions?

What is it doing?  Are you sure the board is toast?  It may also be able to be repaired.

Several of the tracers are trashed, in addition to the one someone previously jumped. I will probably end up fixing it, just wanted to see if there were any boards floating around out there first. Here is a pic of the old repairs.

That would have been a pretty extensive repair for a hack. I would bet it works or can be made to work.  Do the 4 LEDs light up at all?

First test that the battery has voltage and that the traces from the battery get to there destination.  You have a fair amount of green slime around the battery and the edge connector.   This needs to be cleaned up.  If it were me I would label and remove all socketed chips and then run it through the dishwasher (skip dry cycle)  then rinse with 90+% isopropyl alcohol.  Any green sticking around scrub off the edge connector and around the chips.  Use tooth brush or small brass brush but be certain that no brass strands sticking around.  If any legs on the ICs are tarnished  gently clean them.  I use 400 grit sand paper.  Once completely dry test it.   Remember the alcohol is highly flammable so it must be completely dry.  The alcohol can get trapped behind a chip.

You could attempt to spot clean the board but be certain that the edge connector is clean.

Since I took the photo, I cleaned the board with non-chlorinated brake cleaner & a tooth brush, That got 90% of the crud off. I do have a couple tracers to repair, will get that done tonight, then install & try a ram clear. I'll keep you posted.

Wow, someone really repaired that board, or tried to. Definitely check that battery for voltage. Ultras need the battery to function.

Without led's on board flashing left to right your dead in the water.

I take it that you verified the traces from the battery?  Have you checked the fuses? Are you sure the board is seating properly?    Sometimes these boards seem seated and are not.  If all that checks out I would test voltage on the test taps.  Use clamp on test leads, things are so tight that you could easily short otherwise. See link below.  Uniman may have another suggestion.  He is the guru on these.

Update: Thank you for all the pointers, I got her up & running. Overlooked another tracer, repairing that one did the trick applause
If anyone does happen upon a board for this unit, pls let me know. Would like to have a backup, just in case.

Thank you again for the help.
