I was thinking of moving a couple of machines to the garage this summer to free up some space in the house, but it sure is humid on days like these.  Can long-term garage humidity do any damage to the machines?  Thanks for your insights!

Electricity and water have never gotten along well, but how it will affect your machines over the long term depends on the actual level and type of humidity. Ocean humidity is a lot more corrosive than lake humidity. Both bad, but one takes much longer than the other to do damage. What type and level of humidity are we talking about? Is it high enough that you use a dehumidifier in your house?

"I" games are very heat sensative vs a spinning reel slot . the people that disconnect fans are killing there machines and monitors . any extra heat poor ventilation dampness etc on anything electrical is a killer .

I installed thermo/controlled  fans  when the old fans got bearing noise etc in many "I" GAMES to come on when machine was at a certain temp and stay on until temp went down .

also noticed even IGT over diff years of manufacture found out this was a problem  and added fans to certain models . so you have a chop top cabinet that is low in height vs the larger round top . they installed a extra fan directly aimed at the yoke pcb board dead center in cabinet to cool it down . along with the side cabinet fans . even the power supply's would quit thermal shutdown etc . on a hot day 90 deg or above with poor ventialtion high humidity .
on brand new machines .
