I have a cousin that has a triple diamond igt I've seen two books with it one is an s2000n the other is s type. When I turn it on top glass and belly glass lights come on and bill changer cycles but reels don't spin and number lights don't worwk. I've checked fuses, all ok. Removed computer board tested battery 3.6 volts. Re installed board nothing. Pushed test button on back of power switch, nothing. I didn't go much further but to turn reset key.
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
Thank you,
Droider

You have an IGT S+ machine.  I have moved your thread from the S2000 section to the S+ section.

In addition, please read the following thread for the likely cause of your problem and the solution to it:

Check the wire harness going from power supply to mother board.

Any error codes on the front of the machine, or sequence of light flashes from the candle?

Thank you for letting me know that the machine actually is and switching me to that topic.

The candlestick doesn't light and none of the numbers on the front of the machine are on. Only the general lighting is on.

Check the wire harness going from power supply to mother board.
^  Sounds likely.  It's definitely a power issue, or more specifically, power flowing to the right places.  It wouldn't be the power supply itself, since your lights are coming on.  Do you happen to have another machine to try swapping out the motherboard just to eliminate anything there that might be the culprit?  I doubt that it is, but creates peace of mind knowing what the the problem is not.  Also double check all of your wiring connections.

No displays and no reel spin indicate no power to the MPU.

Check the white molex plug coming out of the motherboard that knagl referred you to below. 95% chance that is the issue, as it is very common!  yes

Hello everyone, next time I get to visit I will check the plug for the board, that sounds like the most likely problem. I wish I has another machine that I could check the board with to eliminate it from being the possible issue. I will let you know next week when I get to the machine.

Thank you for all of your help,

Andrew

To be clear, the board isn't the problem -- it's just the connector.  Removing and re-inserting the connector a number of times should clean it enough that it'll work for a while.

Droider, sounds similar to where I am now with mine after replacing both the MPU & Motherboard going on here http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=25094.0

Unfortunately for me, removing and replacing the power connector a few times did get power to my reels, but not LCD.   When I get ffurther along in mine, I'll be sure to check here and help whwere I can.
