Anyone have information on changing the jurisdiction chip on the Game Maker board? I cannot seem to erase it, so I ordered a new one on ebay and am wondering about whether on not it has to be programed externally? I think someone before me set it to "0" and locked it. Any help or information would be appreciated.

It seems after reading down further I have read another tread on the same subject. Question answered.

Ok, ordered the wrong chip as I didn't see the 93c56-sc on the order.  I guess the one I need is 93C56N, any thoughts on where to get one of these? I have tried to erase the one I have with my eprom burner, but I keep getting error message about a bad pin or something and it quits. Any thoughts?

If you look at the first locked post you'll see that I locked my jurisdiction on accident and the great people here referred me to what I needed. I replaced the chip in socket U3 with one of these... see link... and was up and running in no time.

Ok, I bought a new chip and installed it, ran through normal clear procedure but never got to the point of selecting new jurisdiction. Do I need to copy the old chip to the new one? Thinking I just got a bad new chip. Thoughts/Suggestions?
