We are looking for SAS protocol documentation.

You and everyone else in the world no rich enough or connected enough to get it from IGT.  Duh! As Ozzy stated, they will be your only source.

Good luck with your development, and welcome to the board.

Hi

Have a look at this post - Should get you going.
http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=1421.msg11516#msg11516
The person who posted this seems to have made a lot of progress.

Let us know if you do have any luck with IGT. Thanks to the GSA SAS is supposed to be an open protocol but it seems that it is still nearly impossible for hobbyists and small developement companies to get theirs hand on info.

Yes. It's possible to get it from IGT but it so expansive for me. To get it I must pay for GSA membership $21400 or more.

But I saw many companies (not GSA members) who use this protocol.

That it is I post message about SAS documentation.

Ouch - Ozzy and Brichter are right. That is hectic   bawling

Have a look at the 9th post on the thread that i linked to - There is a PDF attached with SAS protocol details - To date that is the only information i have seen.
Also came across a company that developes computer boards for gaming applications. They claim it comes with SAS protocol implementation buit in. Dont know what their developement kit costs but i am sure it will be less than GSA membership. Have a look at http://www.quixant.com

Good luck with your developement and keep us posted on your progress.

Hi and Welcome to NLG  wave

The biggest problem that everyone thats implementing this in software seems to be controlling the wake up bit. If you have any tips on this that would be great.

SAS protocol is free, you just need to sign a NDA with IGT. Contact GSA for details.
