Removing Top Box - Help Needed

Trying to remove the 16" top box from my IGT S Plus... there are 4 screws coming into the top box holding it in place from the underside of inside the main cabinet.  The problem is that the power switch box (with power switch and test button) appear to be spot welded to the frame, blocking access to the last screw.  The screw is underneath the metal box that holds the power switch.  Am I missing something?  I've swapped top boxes from my S2000 before with no issues.  From what I can see, the power switch metal box is welded in there and can't be removed.  Maybe I'm just not seeing things right... I can post pics if needed.

I had the same issue. I ended up removing the other 3 screws then cutting through the other screw with my handheld sawzall (slipped the blade in between the top box and main cab). I then drilled a separate hole and attached the top box to another machine.

Caveman style but it worked!

Hmmmm, crap, no sawzall here.  I need to move the machine and it's damn near impossible with the weight, removing the top box help a lot.  The really bad part is I have another machine arriving next week, and it's an S Plus empire king with 33" topper box, and I have to take that one up a flight of stairs... machine is 70" total height, lol.  Hopefully that topper box is easier to remove, there's no way I can get it upstairs with the box on, lol.  With my other S Plus, I just have to move it across the room, and lift it 24" onto it's stand, so that might not as big of a deal.  Maybe I can figure out a way to drill that screw out... I'll have to take a second look at it.

Be careful with the metal flakes that come off. I held a vacuum while cutting.

I have a buddy with an appliance dolly, It makes moving things up and down stairs easy. I'm sure you can rent one locally for a few bucks. Still took two drunk guys to move one down 2 fights though..

To get even more neanderthal like, you can simply use a metal hacksaw blade and cut by hand. They cost about $2 for a cheapo.. Just make sure to remove the other screws and kinda wedge a flat head screwdriver to keep the gap open.

Lol, that might actually be the best way for me to go.  I'll see what I can come up with.

I removed the top from my S+ and don't remember having to do that. I will look at it tonight and see, but I could swear you can remove the power/reset button from the rear.  I will look at one of my machines tonight.

Ok cool thanks.  The one I have right now isn't critical that I remove it, but the one coming Monday, if I can't remove that top to get it upstairs I'm screwed lol.  Just the top box alone is almost 3 feet tall

Ok, so it's how I remembered.  There's a screw on the assembly with the switch/reset button.  You remove that and you remove the assembly.  Then you can see the screw behind the welded piece.  The picures show the entire process.
