Installed new game, everything working fine but I have no sound.  Put old game chip back in to see if sound worked and still no sound.  Set game volume and money volume at 10 with nothing.
Pulled out 42 sound simm thinking that it might be bad, still not getting any sound.  any ideas?

So without a MMLB2 sound board/SIMM installed, it still will not produce any sound at all?  If you can't even get default sounds out of the machine, I'd be trying another amp.

Has this machine ever produced sound successfully?

Thanks,
Jason

My rule starts with Checking all plugs and wires for damage, If there's only one speaker touch the terminals to a AA batt to see if it's good (popping sound). Don't over think it til you have to.

I would check the bent pins on the MPU connector to the backplane.  If no bent pins it's probably the sound amp or the sound chip on the MPU board.  Do you have spare MPU or amp you can switch out to isolate the problem?

Their are no bents pins on the MPU and I do not have any spare parts.  Anyone have a spare amp they want to sell?
Hopefully this will fix the problem.
