I have a splus that won't accept coins? I changed the coin comparator and coin accepter  with a working machine and still won't give credits when coin is put in but if you press the credit button on the coin comparator it will give you a credit?  this happened before on this machine and was good for a while but now not accepting coins for credits, this machine does not have a bill acceptor on it. Any thoughts from any one?/

THANKS , maybe you can help?

where do the coins go when you feed them?  Into the hopper or back to the tray?

Assuming a 3 coin machine.....

Is it possible that it already has 3 coins in and its waiting for you to hit spin ?

What if you put a coin that doesn't match the comparator coin, like a similar sized token?  If it rejects it, then I'm thinking you have dirty optics or the optics have died.  I would replace that.  If it doesn't reject it, then your comparator is not working and would replace that.

The optics are two little boards under the comparator and the white button you push is part of that. Remove that, open it up and clean it and try again.

Also, as there seemed to be some confusion as to terms, it seems like you may have replaced the coin comparator and optics as a unit. If that is the case and it is from a working machine you might look for bad connections or a broken wire.

I forgot he mentioned he changed the whole thing.  I'm assuming he meant comparator and optics assembly as ^^^ states.

Yes, I did change both units from a working machine and no luck, I looked at the wires and they seem good and connections also seem good, how to be sure? Could this be a board issue?

If you have an MPU board, it would be the next thing to try.
