Which casinos are now playing on these machines?  Which countries have seen them? Where are they now popular in casinos?      http://www.californiaslots.com/details.php?model=Odyssey&game=Multi-Game

SGI was bought over by IGT wayyyyy back in 2001.  These machines haven't seen the light of day in Casinos for well over 15 years.  They are cool machines, but parts are near impossible to come by.   The games on this platform were way ahead of everybody else during their time.  It's a shame IGT never did anything with it.

Rumor has it IGT had the majority of them destroyed immediately after buying SGI. They pulled every leased Odyssey out of casinos after the purchase. We bought one once from an IGT employee who had won it at a company Xmas party. That tells you what IGT valued them at, if they were giving them away to employees as door prizes.

Like Rick said, the SGI games were way ahead of their time, and therefore, didnt fit in IGTs business plan.  If IGT would have rolled out a fully touchscreen multi-game platform like the Odyssey was at that time, what would they be doing now? IGT seems to hoard the technology and dole it out as they see fit for the marketplace. Look at the Blackjack game Odyssey has, with the white gloved hands dealing the cards...you don't see that on a GameKing....just the same graphics (with no animation) we've seen from IGT for the last 20 years.
