I've got a GK with an 044 MPU that has the newer memory board on top that holds the programs instead of a ton of ROMS.  It's only got a boot chip.  It's set up as an AVP I believe that's where there are tabs on the left side to access all of the games, VP, BJ, Keno, Slots etc.  70+ games in all.

So, I'd like to add Double Pay Video Poker to this mix.  Is that possible?  How does one go about adding a game to this type of setup?  I've decided I want to put DPVP into my rotation of games I practice and putting it on my machine at home would be great.  Thanks.

I don't think it's possible to add just one game to a flash board already containing a game set. You may be able to find the game you want as either a single game or part of another game set though. You could buy a 2nd board with that game (or game set) on it and switch it in/out when you wanted to. Probably have to Key/Clear the machine each time though.

Send Blueridge a message and ask him. He'd have the answers you need.

Thanks for the reply.  I'll check in with Blueridge.  Based on the whole keychip thing It might make sense for me to invest in a whole new 044 board and have 2 different sets of games.  I know that seems a bit expensive, but having the ability to have basically 2 totally different machines might make sense.

You will still have to clear if you swap boards.  The EEPROM on the backplane will give you an EEPROM error if you just swap MPU or games boards without clearing first.

That's what I was thinking when I told him:

Kind of a pain, but it is doable...
