Does the S2000 enhanced MPU take a different CLEAR and Key chip than the regular MPU board.  I have a 97 Clear and 31 Key set here now and want to redo the setup on my S2000 enhanced.  Thanks

It uses a RBK00001 or RBK00002. It allows you to do both Key and Clear.

Edit *If you have a legacy board, it uses the Key and Clear you mentioned I believe.

I just edited my post.. Do you have the legacy board? Or the flash R board on the MPU?

If you have an R board..you need the RBK all in one chip. If you have an enhanced board with a SG598 chip you need to use a IVC224 and a Key45. If other please tell us what SG chips you are running and if R board, what RB chip you are running so we can tell you which RBK you need to use.

Here are several pictures of the MPU board in my S2000.  I need basic info on type of  clear  key eprom and basic procedure to do this.  My machine needs denomination reset also as it has a 4 denomination touch screen and also someone has currency set to pounds instead of US dollars.  It's a Triple Double Diamond five reel slot with 1, 2, 5 and 10 cent touch screen. It currently only allows you to play the 5 cent denomination.  Thanks

Legacy. I use a Key 45. (Key and/or Clear are used where your SB chip is.)

Not sure about changing from pounds to dollas? The pros will chime in i'm sure.

Key chip menu 7.1.9 allows for the currency symbol and format.  You need to keychip machine to change values in this menu. You can download the PSR (Program Summary Report) from the link below.  Print it out and keep it handy, it is a guide to all the options in your particular GME set (363).

Don't clear the machine, just key chip it.  You rarely ever need to clear the machine.  I've only done it to change accounting denomination.

A Key chip is NEVER going to hurt a machine...it might not give you the results you want, but it will NEVER hurt one!

The enhanced S2000 is pretty much setup now except for the  GEN 2 printer   It is still printing with the Lt format instead of US dollars.  Went through menus and there is no 7.1.1.9 selection to change this.  Does the enhanced board have a jurisdiction chip on it that must be changed??

What version chip is in your machine? They generally decide jurisdictional issues. Go ahead and tell us what SB and SG chips are in there also

The Gen2 printer firmware may need flashing. Hold the test button down on the printer and power it up. It will print a test page with the printer specs. See if the firmware version is USA or other

Here's a scan of the GEN 2 printout.  Looks like it needs flashed.  Sub a PSA-66 in its place and it works fine and shows US dollars.  Probably better off getting a PSA-66 to use in its place instead of flashing this one.

I agree, I have the tool to flash it, but postage would be more than a PSA-66 to replace it with. The Firmware should be a GNUSA5011 or such. The G for Gen2, N for Netplex and USA for USA. The Lit is def another country firm ware and your problem. Just pick up a $15 printer and replace it and sell the Gen2 to someone that can flash it.

I figured it wouldn't be worth the $$$ to flash it.  The GEN2 is a nice printer but the PSA-66 does the same thing.  Looks like the GEN2 will be trading stock.  Thanks to all for the comments and help.
