With my bill validator out of commission I decided to work on the coin comparator.   First think I need this harness is this expensive?  I borrowed it from my 5500 machine to see if I can get  it working.    Needless to say I screwed in the quarter head and the borrowed harness and plugged in the comparator and nothing.
The machine is ready to accept coin when I close the door.  Do I need to do anything to turn the comparator on because it was a TITO ?

Any ideas?   and is there a way to work the machine with the door open?  On the 5500 you can pull out the door switch out and work on the machine as if the door was closed.

take the optic board out of your 5500 and screw it below the comparitor just as it was in the 5500, the other connector on the harness connects to the optic board, make sure the machine is off when you do this.  then try it.

Do I understand you need the wiring loom that goes from hinge side of door to comparitor and lower optics + comparitor bracket.   If a 5500 will fit I have a bunch of them. PM your address  Buzz

Buzz,
Jonathon has the harness, I can see it in the pictures he has.  I will contact you regarding the mastercom controllers.

Thanks,

The score: Slot 1     Man 1
applause applause applause  Well I took that bottom piece out from my 5500 - (I think it's the coin optics?) And wooo!  The machine takes quarters and I'm able to play.

I need to get this part with the bracket for a 6000.   The 5500 works but only one screw fits.  and after this I really need two screws.

What exactly am I looking for?
