We'll be on the road on thanksgiving day heading to Pendleton, OR staying overnight at the Wildhorse Casino.  Next morning we're heading to Portland, OR to a Pearl Jam concert!  Gonna be a kick ass weekend with my family!

So, are we the only ones doing the whole Thanksgiving spread? Where you get up at 6:00am to start the make the yeast rolls and the pies? Then there's sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn pudding, gravy (good lord, dont forget the gravy) and not to forget the turkey and the ham? I love Thanksgiving as its such easy cooking, and easy cooking!

C'mon, I know someone's cooking it up for Thanksgiving!

We're hosting family and friends here at Casa Channel and I'm in charge of the meat. I'll be smoking 4 racks of ribs and a turkey breast. Mom is bringing dumplings and candied sweet potatoes. Mom-in-law is bringing the green bean casserole. My wife is making the rest.

We're inviting some friends over that have no family anywhere close to Dallas. Good friends should be included in family celebrations as they are something else we have to be thankful for.

Sorry, when I think dumplings I immediately think Chicken. Turkey works just as well, I know I'll probably making some Turkey and Dumplings with leftover turkey!
