Well, seeing as there is not a lot of info, I thought maybe I'd get the ball rolling.
I have a Fortune II Draw Poker machine. It was a used machine from the pepermill casino a while back. Purchased in 94' but I'm not sure when it was made.
The Serial number is 139327
Model: 1170-D
The machine quit working about 4 years agao.
The symptoms are as such.
Sometimes when you first turn the machine on, all the cards will come up as face down and held like so..
You may also get the grainy choppy pictures too...
There are two boards in this machine. I'm not sure what each one does but they are both removable and I have removed and cleaned the connecting pins with windex and a q-tip. At first I thought maybe the cmos battery was dead. I checked it with a meter and it read 3.56 Volts, which is within .04 volts of the specification on the battery sleeve. I have tried resetting the cmos by turning the machine off, removing the card, switching the switch to rset, then back to on, reinserting the card in the machine and turning it back on. These steps give the same errors repeadedly.

After the machine comes on after a reset, the cards are all face down and in "held" status. After a lot of tinkering I found that if you push the VEM test button while the machine is in this state, it resets everything on the screen to look as is it is all functioning properly. However as soon as you close the door and lock it up, the machine gives a yellow blinking light and a blank blue screen with "Call Attendant" as the only thing displayed like so...
Needless to say, these are some weird symptoms. I do not know the nity-grity behind the chips on these boards but I am good with a soldering iron and a test meter. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.
