$20 bucks which type of slot would you play???

Knowing that a good portion of us really knows the PAR sheets to some really great  possible paybacks.  I was thinking....If you had $20.00 what type of slot would you play and why? 


(1) you can only play $20.00 (no feeding or following the money)
(2) What you wouldnt play.
(3) No Slot club points or slot club extras...

I went back and forth on this....hmmm 20 $1.00 pulls. 4 $5.00 pulls.  I came to the conclusion of finding a .50 machine...I would prefer plain double diamond (no deluxe) or $1.00 5 times pay.  If I had too, play pennies.... either double diamond run or Jackpot station.

I wouldnt play Wheel of Fortune...any denom (I keep catching myself watching that stupid wheel go right by 1000 credits. Or not even getting 3 single bars are the line).

I'd play a low volatility game, nothing more than a triple multiplier, probably a $1 machine playing 1 coin a pull

The machines that I would want to play are no longer on the casino floors.  
So I now have them in my house.  

But if at the casino I would look hard for a two quarter machine like Haywire or Coral Reef. I look for minutes of entertainment per dollar. Or maybe that should be seconds of entertainment per dollar. Lower top jackpot levels and no progressives usually means more frequency of hits.

20 bucks eh....hmmm, I think If that's all I had I'd probably sit at a slot where there are lot's of people
around then pretend I was playing when the bar maid comes by and order a "complimentary" drink.
When she comes back with the drink I'd give her $1, drink the drink, THEN I'd find a Card Game Table
with no players....most likely a High Stakes Table and hand the Dealer the $19 and ask him to give me
a good solid punch in the gut and call it a day! (Basically, I'd say pretty much a regular day at the casino!)

Nice question....  I'd go for broke.... Play a $5  2 coin Barcrest Double Top Dollar.  2 coins per spin ( $10 ).. Take your 2 chances at a BIG PAYOFF.

Any Hot Hot Super Jackpot Respin 5 Reel mechanical WMS slot.  Bet minimum per line and hope for the bonus.  Usually gives you a nice long stay at a machine.

Also I look for any vision type game with an accumulated pot, like Balloon Bars, Wild Cherry Pie, etc.  Then play 1 coin at a time hoping to get one of the bonus amounts.

$5 machine 4 shots at anything.

I would not play anything with progressive nor anything with a high multiplier value.

Rick made a good point as I have ocasionally taken a chance on the $25 and rarely the $100 machines.  I never play higher than a "Doubler" type game.  If I'm going for broke; leave the 3x, 5x, 10x alone.  Bill

Depending on my mood..

Find a 3-reel $5 slot and take four shots. Either that, or play a $1 machine and take 20 shots. Probably a Five Times Pay if I wanted to go for broke or a Haywire if I wanted to play it safe. At least the 5x Pay has a cherry -- I wouldn't go near a 10x pay or any other multiplier game higher than 2x.

20 plays @ $1 on a 4-spot video keno IF the payout were at least 92% (Video Keno is like Video Poker in that the odds of getting a winning outcome don't change, so the only way that they can change the payback is right there in the pay table for all to see.)

It was amazing what you could get in the early 80's up in Kingston, Ontario for $20!

Well.....

As I cruise the various casinos I always make sure I put $20 into MegaBucks (only once per casino per vegas visit).
More than once I have hit minor wins and my rule of thumb is that if I get 4x then I pull my money out and put no more than 1/2 back.
On my last trip I played about 10 megabucks machines but was up $160 on this play.
Over the last 6 years (about as far back as I can remember playing like this) I am probably down 2K. These are pretty stingy machines.

If I had only $20 then I would likely play a 3 to 5 coin 0.25 denomination 3 reel multi-line. These are getting rare.
If I could no find one of these then it would be a 2 or 3 coin Haywire or diamond Deluxe game ... something with some nudge or respin action.
