I have been offered this slot at a really good price but am only familiar with Bally's and never owner an IGT slot.

What platform is this and what do i need to know, i.e. clear chip etc.

Looks really clean and if you guys pass it I will collect it next week.

Thanks

Early Model S+.  These did not have a built-in validator.  There was a "sidecar" validator attachment available for these, but I've never seen it for sale.

Thanks. Is it worth the equivalent  of $250. Seller says its working 100% and it looks really clean. Can the games be changed in it if i want?

Also do i need a clear chip for this to change things?

It might work 100% but the machine has Double Diamond Deluxe reel strips and Hot Tamales glass. As long as the reel chip is correct the payouts would be correct.

Thats what i love about this forum, Expert advice. I don't have a clue or sharp eye for these things.

I did search for details on Hot Tamales game but came up blank so assuming its not very common at all if the glass and kit is a mis-match.

Now this has got me thinking

Those strips are correct. Hot Tamales has the 'Nudge' feature.. Look at the bottom of the top glass.

Double Diamond Deluxe 5coin clone? Unique..

You're pretty quick for an old guy Buzz! I didn't catch they were Irish Tamales! Probably cost $50-70

Have to admit its a pretty unique kit though. Amazes me that these oddball kits continue to pop up, you'd think we'd all seen just about all of them! Maybe this being outside of USA is part of the reason, not sure.

Edit: Just, FYI, USPS quoted $74 for 10lbs. US to Ireland, 3-5 day delivery

After I read your post, I felt stupid for not catching that, but then seen the diff colors afterwards. Diamonds and Tamales don't really go together, but then neither do Chainsaws and Toasters, so not sure what IGT/Suburban/Whoever was going for with this game theme. It's kinda neat though.

I'm color blind which makes it a good thing that traffic lights have the red light at the top or left side. Back in the day that wasn't always true.

Oh crap, remind me to not ever buy strips from you then, lol...."They look great. Colors are nice!" Just kidding, of course Ken. It seems like it would be a major PITA. You have learned to cope with it, I'm sure, but still a PITA!

If any of you guys want to swap the kit when I get this new machine next week I will gladly help a fellow member. The only problem is the $70 postage !!! It is steep but if you REALLY want it :-)
