I just turned on my machines for the first time in months in preparation for my Super Bowl party and a few are giving me problems.  Two of my machines aren't taking any bills.  The bill acceptor light won't change color shortly after powering up like it usually does.  I've removed and reinstalled the head, reinstalled the cash box, and still nothing.  Both of them say "Restart" and "Closure M".

A third machine has a Printer Communication Failure.  I need to spend some more time on this one, check the tickets, etc.

Thanks!

I believe the messages are just describing the recent actions done on the machine. That you've restarted it, and closed the main door.

When you turn the reset key, are there any errors listed there? Have you removed and re-seated the whole BV? Check all doors to make sure all of them are closed, and check the error logs to make sure all erros are cleared. If it's out of paper or something causing a tilt, the BV will stay off.

Does the BV cycle when it powers up? Does it cycle when you re-seat it?

If it's been a few months and the machines use enhanced MPU's it may be a simple case of the green battery going dead in which case leaving it turned on for several hours should recharge it

If you're in a cool room, try warming the BV with a hair dryer.
