GK or I-game PXL SIMMs...does the order of installation matter? Can they be placed in any slot?

Thanks,
Jason

Jason the dip switches are important on the simms. They can go in any slot but I always put the lower numbered one in first

PXLF 3  2 of 4 on on on off
  "     4  3 of 4  off on on off
  "     5  4 of 4  on off on off
DSS all or off

So I found this thread as well:

http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=12964.msg111818#msg111818

Looks like mixed 8/16 Meg SIMM games the order matters.

So by first slot are you saying:

J6 is first which would take PXLF3 2 of 4
J7 is second which would take PXLF4 3 of 4
J8 is third which would take PXLF5 4 of 4

Thanks,
Jason

if you installed the first simm in J 8, you would not have enough room to be able to install anymore simms.

You made this statement "Looks like mixed 8/16 Meg SIMM games the order matters."  Nope it doesn't make any difference. At least it didn't make any difference in what I think is Game King 5.0 ( base chip M0001050 and has Cleo Keno ) Installed PXL4  8 Meg in socket J6 and PXL3  16 MEG on socket J7, cleared/keyed and the machine boots up, plays and looks the same as it did before I switched the PXL simms around. Now I'm not foolish enough to say that this will be 100% accurate on every game, I don't have every game so I don't know.
