Hi,

I have been looking at the various schematics to try and find a coin mech for my Universal slot. Another member with the same game said his had a CC-16C mech in it. Can anyone tell me what the voltage specs are for this mech? I see tons of "D" models for sale, but no "C's".

My machine is set up with a plug for the mech that only has 2 wires. The schematic for the Universal game listed here looks like it has more inputs, I'm lost.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Try this site,

http://www.coinmech.com/products.cfm?parent_id=1

Depending on pin out depends on VOLTAG 12v or 24v. What is your pin out on the machine side harness ?????

Cheers

The basic design of the CC-16 can support various voltages both DC and AC up to 50 volts.  It all depends on how the board is populated and how the host cabinet is wired.  This is the supposed purpose of the extra Letter like C or D.  As you look at the schematic, there are a number of components in the power supply section that can be resistors of varying value and wattage, or just a jumper, along with a diode which may or may not be there..  etc. etc.

If you can tell us what voltage you have on the two wires you have when the coin mech is supposed to be enabled, maybe we can tell you which type would best suit your needs.  As I recall, the C is a common one for IGT and I think it can accept a few different voltages depening on which pin is used on the connector.

If your universal uses only two wires, it will just be power and ground to make the mech accept coins.  There would therefore be an optic or coin switch below the coin comparator to actually trigger a credit.  On an IGT S+, the output of the coin mech is also used to set up the anti stringing part of the ABC optic pcb.
