I agree with Ruden on this one, components have a limited life and leaving the machines on for extended periods of time while not in use wastes this.  If you have motherboard heat problems, perhaps you should look at a better cooling system for it. I like to periodically check my fans and blow out the power supply to make sure they don't overheat.  I do the same for slots, turn off when not in use, I do connect them to a quality surge supressor which is what I use to turn them on and off.

5 Aces  I think you have the wrong idea of Ron, he is not a Merchant.  I don't think he made a dime on this group buy.  He's just a slot owner like you, but opened his mouth one to many times. 

Buzz, you are right, I didn't make any money on this.  I ran out of tape and packing supplies and printer ink.   Yea I opened my mouth about researching it but I can say that I have met, talked to and otherwise conversed with members I have never talked to before.   Besides it made me feel good to actually help this group out with something instead of just taking in all the info I could.   I just got busted putting one up on eBay.  Am curious to know if they will sell or not so I know if I want to buy more later on.  Also, I wrote to the first person that messaged me before all was said and done to see if he still wanted some.  I do have a couple of extras beyond that but for the life of me I I don't remember who else asked.  I don't know just yet what color the decals are yet until I hear from the first guy.

I guess I should have said: " I wish people who are in the Merchant business, were as friendly, generous and as easy to deal with as Ron (AND ALL OF THE NLG MERCHANTS/MEMBERS), even though Ron is not in the Merchant business, he does business with a big heart and generous spirit"! Hey Ron, ever think about getting in the Merchant business?? 

The only way I am in the slot business is me (or my brother) buying the darn machines.    I used to be in sales but for the most part I don't like the average consumer.  I think they are stupid, uninformed or otherwise should just go away until they know what they want but I am trying to see how well one sells on eBay.  And thank you for the compliment.  I guess being a caregiver teaches someone how to have a good heart, I try. *blushing*

Thank you Ron! That's settled! Anyway, I was "One" of the people who agreed to take another decal, if you were stuck with any extras. I'll tell you what: I'm sure someone will see this discussion and be upset that they now "Need" one of these decals, but didn't get in on the group buy. I'd rather someone who doesn't have one of these cool decals, can get the chance to buy one, rather than me buying another of something that I already have. If you can't sell one in the near future, let me know and I'll buy it from you.

Racer, I just searched my house high and low and the garage, gameroom and truck.  Your package went out with 5 other ones at the same time.  I will be running up to the post office in a few minutes and I will ask her where it went.  Maybe they dropped it behind the counter or something.  We have a contract post office so who knows with them.  My suggestion is also to call their 800 number 800-275-8777 and give them the conformation number and have them check into it.  I would call but I can't really talk because of a swollen mouth, they wouldn't understand me anyway.

Got mine yesterday...

I got home today at a reasonable hour so I could,
A) mow the grass  
B) Catch up on lost sleep

C) install new stickers on machines

I need to do A
I want to do B
But I'll most likely end up doing C

Mine said Left the US from LosAngles - ground - on July 15th....

I am not really sure how it can leave the US from LA via GROUND unless they are shipping it via oceanic transport to Vancover or via Mexico and take the sourthern route around the globe. If it was going Air this would make sense.

Knowing USPS I should receive a delivery via vi the Northpole in 2-3 months .....

This is USPS.

 Their tracking has 2 states:

Expecting the package.
Package delivered.


If you ever see anything other state, it's because someone screwed up and scanned your package at some point before it was delivered.

I have horror stories from "3 days to anywhere*" Priority Mail, had one package, rather small and light, that took 9 business days to get to Oklahoma

Oh - I totally agree with that statement.  I once sent a PC to my kid in Missouri via USPS.  They dropped it from so high that the heatsink on the cpu yanked the cpu socket right off the motherboard.  The case was tweaked so bad that that one side of the cd-rom was in one slot in the case and the other side was jacked one slot higher.

I bought their insurance but, the USPS paperworked me to death until I gave up...
