Hi I need some information on how to get rid of the 91 NC error. I did a safe ram clear and everything is alright but when I close the door and the reels spin than I get a 91 code. What should I be doing to get rid of that code.

Simple interpretation:   91 NO communication.    What's the game you're working on ?    Also... check the voltage on the 3.6V  Lithium battery on the MPU / game board.

If you perform a complete saferam clear the settings should revert back.

Thanks,

Hi to do a complete safe ram clear you remove the U28 and U43 chip install the clear chips turn on the machine hold the two buttons down till you get the clc. I did that and I get a 04.21 in the win paid section. That is to set time and date correct.Than when I push the red button I get 91 NC error code. What did I do wrong.

When you are doing the ram clear did you remember to do the DS1 switch 8
also you might want to post the mains you have and the clear chips.

I found out what I was doing wrong. I had to change the dip switch setting on ds1 to on-on-off-off-off-off-off-on. Than I had to set time and date. Everything is find now. Thanks Mopar69. I sold my 1970 cuda last year. I had a 340 six pack with a four speed.

I had that on this machine when I dragged it home. it has a small serial comm port that plugs into the FRONT of the CPU shelf! Was not plugged in.

i'm still alive guys, been SUPER busy and not working on the collection much at all these days. This one begged to go home with me, had to do it...

Nice game Kirk. I've played that game several times in Laughlin and even though it always took all of my money, I kept going back for more punishment!   rotflmao
Never hit a good one.  bawling

What percent payout does your machine have?

Nice find Kirk, I think that's a Bally/Barcrest? conversion.

Thanks!
Here is the chipset, don't know what the payout is on it. It was in "Sam's Town" Casino here in Las Vegas.
Also a Pic of the serial cable that sometimes gets tucked away, causing the 91nc error.

Just to note along with the cable you need to have the dip set for the bouns topper on the main board.  If not the top will not sync up with the main board.

Also the right mains are important for this game.

Also the top is Acers I think not barcrest.

Hi paul
I'm on my cell,  the bv door would give a 52 so not that. Once you got rid of the 50 and had 55 you just need to get the bv to initialize properly (55) , make sure the cash can is in good.

I have a lot of posts to go through when I get home

Thanks,
Wayne

The issue is you need to set the MPU board (CPU) dip switches for over the top bonus.    Was this a new board or one from a different game?

and I assume you have the little connector on the front of the MPU board plugged in as I think you noted?

I also remember something about having to have the correct manins but could be wrong on that.

When you ram clear does the plug have to be in the mpu board from the top unit

Here are the dips and the plug does not matter when clearing

DS1 - Secondary Device Protocol

DIP Switch DS1
   System SW4 SW5 SW6
Anchor 1.6 OFF ON ON

Bally Secondary Game (BSG) OFF ON OFF  <<<<********* I think it's this one that tells it to talk to the top

Secondary Device (SED)1 ON OFF ON

Switch Game Function

SW3 Bonusing
ON No bonusing
OFF Bonusing enabled *****  << I am not sure about this one

Hey Paul, glad you got it going. I know Dave and Dick had some problems with some of theirs and would probably know the fix! K+
