If I understand correctly, it seems those that are configuring cashless systems are leaving the hoppers in and setting the hopper limits to zero.  Is it possible to configure a 6000 for no hopper installed at all, without getting a hopper emulator board or something?  I'd like to make these things bills in, tickets out with no coin mechs or hoppers.  Doable?

You have to jump some wires on the hopper plug.  Pretty sure it's pin 8 to 10 and 7 to 9.  I'll look at it and post tomorrow.  (looking at the hopper plug from behind the receiver plug where the wires come out counting the pin holes from top left across)

Here are a couple pics of how to do it.  I prefer not to cut the wires, which would be quicker, so I bare about 3/8 of an inch on each, twist them together and solder them.  I tape them up (liquid tape).
