The Pinball Hall of Fame is planning to move closer to the Las Vegas Strip into a warehouse with double the space, in hopes of attracting more tourists.

Clark County officials approved a permit for the move last week, and owner Tim Arnold expects the new hall to be open in one to three months after the new space is renovated.

Arnold owns about 1,200 pinball machines, including many old machines from the 1950s and '60s.

The Las Vegas Pinball Collectors Club bought the building on Tropicana Avenue near Maryland Parkway for $1.24 million in November.

The 53-year-old Arnold bought his first machine for $200 in 1970. The hall runs as a nonprofit with extra quarters donated to the Salvation Army.

Can you actually go in and play the games or is it exhibition only?

Of course you can play! That's how he keeps the doors open -- just like Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum (only Marvin keeps his profits. rotflmao)

They even have one of our own Cactus Jack's  Cactus machines. yes
