Wild thing !

« on: August 15, 2009, 11:21:43 PM »

While working to get the last 2 slot machines working I came across this problem with one of them.  I got this machine that when I boot it up the displays  reads    1cent, 5 cent , 25cent etc up to I think a 100... select what to play.  I think it has a  multi denominational chip or something in it.  It was double diamond haywire game, but the board doesn't match the other one I have that works. I think the mother board was swapped from something else, and there is not a button on the machine to select what coin to use.  I don't know even if there is a button for it, or how it would work.  what chip makes it multi denominational and could I use it ?  who know what game it is in there.  Can I make any game multi denominational with the chip ?

Multi-denom is both in the stepper base and the 8 pin chip on the mother board. But if you already have multi-denom on your machine then all you have to do is install a button. The wires for it should be right by your max bet button. Then you can keychip it t what you want your denoms to be.

You can make all of your S2000 machines multi-denominational easily. The correct version chip to be using is the VS011GX1 and you should be using the SG000363 Gm 1 / 2 chips. That combination will give you the split screen on your LED door display and allow you to install the Multi-denom button in the unused slot to the far right on the deck. If you do not know how to do this there is another post here on NLG that covers it in detail.

After the button is installed and the proper chips are installed on the board I suggest doing a full clear on unshopped machines using a 097 clear chip so that you can set the accounting denomination to your liking. This also allows you to enable your printer.

Once cleared and rebooted, then install your Key 17 chip, reboot and go to key setup. Set up accounting denomination, most will use 25 cents. Then set up your player denominations. Please note that in this part of the menu you have the ability to set up 4 total player denominations.  I usually go with 25 cent, 50 cent, $1, and $2.

After that within the Key setup you need to set up the percentage for each denomination. Just call me if you can't figure it out.

Wow, all this great information. Thank you Bettor Slots , maybe someone can detail what the chips do.  I mean what a gme
chip does, and what a stepper base chip purpose is.... what chip really has the info on pay out and stuff like that.

Oh, off on another question , I have all 4 wild things, but 2 are not back lit reels, that have the back lit strips but not
the reels, if I put back lit reels in will they work ?  I think I tried a few months ago and it didn't.  Just wanted to confirm/ask again.

And lastly, I can't make it to the Chicago show, anyone willing to look for a few things for me ?

Just wondering...
I think the backlight reels need a special light driver board to make them light up?
I could be wrong on this...

In addition to the back-lit reels themselves, you will need a controller card, metal housing, and the two required harnesses.  The kit is easy to install and you can do it in about 10 minutes.  These are available right now on Ebay for the best price I have ever seen from LA Slots.  I purchased 10 such complete kits and the quality of the reels, although they were for slant tops, are in excellent condition with very little wobble.  The only difference in the slant top reels is that the reel number sticker will be upside in your upright machine (who cares) and that you have to adjust the lights to a different position...no big deal....as they adjust with a set screw.

Uhh... I have tried this with no success on a 2C Wild Cherry Pie S2000 "Vision" with no success...  no

I actually finally came across documention stating this particular game (WCP VISION) along with a couple others could not be made multi-demonational  bawling hissy fit

Apparently this only affects the S2000 Vision Machines...  stir the pot / get cooking

If you know of a way to convert mine.. I would be very grateful  Hail Hail Hail
