Hello Op-Bell, This is my first time in a Forum so if I am doing something wrong forgive me. I have an Aristocrat Esprit Carnival machine in fairly bad condition ie (rusty, corroded) ect but still fixable. Mechanical s, solenoids are fine but the boards similar to the one's you posted on October 2008 are in bad condition. I was wondering where I could find boards like this and what I would expect to pay? Any help would be great. Thanks, Les.

The only place I know where you could get replacement boards is out of another machine; there's no market in Esprit spare parts. Making one good machine out of two is a fairly typical experience with older models, though. The boards would have to be in really, really bad shape - all burned up - before I'd consider them beyond repair. Why don't you take a picture of your boards and let me take a look?

Well, it's called "hijacking a thread", but we're an easy-going lot around here, so it's ok. Normally you would post about Aristocrat machines somewhere else than in the Bally EM topic, mainly because these posts become a sort of reference library for the future and if you stick a book about baseball in the cookery section, people can't find it.

Put them in the "Other reel games" section - I've started a thread for it.

Hello Op-Bell, jay and captainhappy. Thanks for all your help and understanding  Hail I have taken a couple of pics and this is probably the best one. A lot of the coating over the traces have peeled and as a result there is lot of corrosion, there is also a dark burnt area around C1 and RN4 on the IO board. The capacitor is a 16v 220uf and the chip is marked 16-1-471, 8151. It also appears that it has had some heat at the resistor below R4. It is the same board as the one Op-Bell posted on October 6 2008. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have more pic's if needed. Thanks
