SMI's wanted

Can someone supply me with Bally pro SMI s for 6890, 6998, 7129, 7156, 7165, and 7531 - need them in Adobe readible files - I have a mac and cannot read txt/doc files. thank you.

What are Bally Pro "SMI's" ?

I have a Bally ProSlot 5500 and
I am wondering if that's the chips that occupy the U3/U4/U12 and U15 sockets?

While we're at it...what are the U18 and U20 sockets for?

SMI is the bally equivalent of IGT PAR sheets (PAR = Paytable and Reelstrip. SMI =?)

U3 = 27512
U4 = 27512
U12 = 27512
U15 = 27512

U18 =  27512
U20 = 27512

Ok according to the schematics they are all for EPROMs - Unfortunately their functions are not listed on the parts breakdown

I think the U18 & U20 sockets are for the particular type of game.
Such as "Wild Rose" or Blazing 7's"...

The others I don't know yet though....
The list you gave is the "device" types for the sockets I listed from the MPU board.

At least that's the kind of chips mine has....hmm...

I checked my spare 5500 board and that one has some chips that are 512's...and a couple that are 256's...
I assume you can use both as long as the files are burned correctly onto them in the right spot...
Now I'm wondering if the jumpers next to the sockets need to be moved
depending on what size chips occupy the sockets...
The jumpers I'm looking at are at positions JW4/JW5/JW6/JW14...
there are 7 other jumpers on the board located at JW2/JW8/JW9/JW10/JW11/JW12/ and finally JW13...
I'll be damned if anyone knows what all these jumpers are for....

Hi,
  I see it a little different, the smi is the reference number for the personality program of each game, sort of like SS numbers for IGT S-Plus machines.  Bally calls PAR sheets Par sheets, as can be seen on their website.  The SMI number is printed on the to right corner of each personality chip (if an original), after the part number.The personality chips are U18 and U20 in either S5500, or S6000 machines.  They are usually 256 chips.  These chips would be the equivalent of SS (reel) chips in an S-Plus.

I knew what Barry meant, and so did David, but maybe I should have posted that Barry wanted Par sheets.

U3 and U4 are supplements
U12 and U15 are Mains (U28 and U43 on S6000)
U18 and U20 are personality chips

I have one semi-original "par" sheet for a Bally 5500 SMI dated June of 1993, and its official title is "System 5000/5500 Personality Description."

It is not completely original in that it is a photocopy made by the casino at the time, but it has a Gaming Control Board dated and hand numbered approval stamp on the front page and was inside the machine when I bought it. It is eight pages in length. Interestingly, the front page has the SMI number, a separate model number, a personality ID number, a map table number, a win table number, and a PDN. There is also a configuration number, but it's (00-00). That's a lot of numbers to describe one payout percentage chip set of one game theme!

<ADD> Incidentally, I have a pdf copy of the same smi number, but it contains only the last two pages of the printed copy.
