What's the going price of a Fortune 1 Video Poker Machine these days? I'm thinking about buying one as the Fortune 1 has always been my favorite poker machine! I was wondering what has happened to them? When I was stationed at Nellis AFB from 84 - 89 the Fortune 1 machines were everywhere, every casino had hundreds if not thousands and now their all gone. I understand upgrades have replaced them but where did they go? You don't see them for sale anywhere and parts for them are scarce also. Did IGT just scrap them?

Don't know about the 90's but I hear these days that IGT has A buy back or at least they offer some credit when A new machine is purchased and A old one turned in.

Hate to think what happens to the old ones    bawling bawling

Fortune1s were pre PE and PE+. I thought they still used tubes like the 1930's radios   rotflmao

I would imagine that $300-$400 would be a fair price as PE+'s with bill validators are going for $600-$800 depending on condition of the screen and version of validator.

I know with the PE+ getting replacement CAPROMS (corlor chip) are an issue as the chip used for these are not made anymore so blanks if you can find them are over $9.00 each and just as a kicker most current eprom burners can't burn these types of chips. I am not sure what the fortune 1 use for chips but its got to be getting on in years, and Radio Shack doesn't have tube testers any more (LOL).

I would also say good luck in getting additional game kits, spare processor boards...as I have never seen any of these adveritsed on ebay. Perhaps some of the dealers have these.

I have seen Bally Game makers  as low as $800....

My main concern in owning a Fortune 1 would be supportability....(availabilty of knowedge & parts).

At least with an old car you can get parts remanufactured.

Actually, you might find that a Fortune 1 or 2 can sell for as much as $1400.  This is due to the fact that they are about the only Comercial Video Poker machine that is legal to own in a 25 year state.  Therefore, if you walk into a Game Room Furnishings store in a 25 year state, they are the only ones you would see on the show room floor for sale - LEGALLY.

But, overall, due to thier limited features and options (not many games, may not support credit play, NO DBV support) everywhere else, they are probably worth about what Jay quotes or even less.

Also, I have two Fortune 2 bar "Drop-in" type machines. One is a spare parts machine, I paid $250.00 for the pair. I live in Arizona and only a 3 hour drive to NLG Headquarters, next time I'm down that way I'll stop in and see what is avaible as I think I seen a Fortune 1 in one of the photo's from the store. All the places close to me only have the PE+. I'll keep looking!!! Again, thanks for the info!

A customer came in with a Fortune 1 machine and it has nothing but lines on the monitor. Took out the board and found that there are 2 CG chips missing and 2 on the board. The 2 chips are labled CGO-A poker 073 and CG!-A poker 073 does anyone have or know which chips are missing?

Hi Fanninislots,

you can possibly go to;

and find the info on the schematics posted there.

Good luck,
Lebtech...
