I am looking for the MPU battery for a fortune I draw poker model #603 circa 1982.

I purchased a service manual but it only gives the part # for the whole MPU.

Please let me know of any web site where I could order this battery.

Thanks in advance.

Try Jim at Blueridge slots, he has a banner add right above. You both live in the same state

Blueridge is a very dependable seller...
he's probably out for the weekend...
I'm sure you'll have an answer from him soon.

The battery is an Eveready 523, 4.5V alkaline.  Substitues include Varta V21PX, Dantona TR133A, or EN133A.  They generally run $10-$12 per battery.  Mouser carries it as 639-V21PX @ $10.71.  It seems as if this type of 4.5V battery was used on a number of gaming machines.

Because I'm way cheap, I generally replace it with a Radioshack 3 AAA battery holder 270-412 for $2, which I stick with double sided tape either underneath the board or on top.  Then I wire it to the empty battery holder on the board.

I know this topic is way old, but I thought I'd provide an answer for completness.
