Can I add my 2 cents: How about a Unidesa section???  The machines are fairly common in Mississippi.

I have a suggestion for the gamesville mascot (the penguin).  I am one of the people that likes to read the posts and goes from a page back to the homepage.  Each time you click back to the home page the animation replays with the loud sound.  Its cool at first but I know there is some people that like to keep their speakers cranked up and each time you navigate you have to listen to that sound

how do i post a new thread?

  • Start at the Forum Index.

  • Find the category that your post best fits into and click on the category name.  (For yours, I'd suggest the "NLG Members Users Request" category, since that is designated as being for "Got a request for a manual, psr, or other Technical information Post your request in here...... ")

  • Once you're in the category page, there is a small blue button on the right hand side of the page, just above the first topic in the category, that says "New Topic" (it looks like this: ).  Click on that button when you're in the category.

I believe he is saying that on an iPad (or any tablet or smartphone) that it's difficult to navigate between pages within a forum because the only way to navigate is by clicking on the small page numbers at the top of the list of messages.  On a computer it's easy enough to click the page you want, but on a tablet it's easy to "fat-finger" the wrong page number when trying to move to page 2 (or whatever page).  Dave is asking if it would be possible to add a larger "Next" (and "Previous", as applicable) button next to the list of page numbers to make navigation easier on a tablet computer.

Edited to add: I found a mod that would do what he's asking, but it's only for SMF 2.x, so it won't work for us.  (here)

I think we need a new topic area or such related to game kit, or tricks related to them
Since I am not familiar with other platforms not sure where best to place it.
Using different chips with the theme to add spin effects like haywire,. spin til you win could also fall under this as well.

A couple of examples of the tricks I am talking about:
using Double Diamond strips for a Double Diamond Haywire (which can done both on the S+ and S2000)
Using Wild Cherry Strips for Double Wild Cherry strips
Both with an offset of course.
Using different Chips to add game effects including different sounds (might be limited to the S2000), haywire, double spin, spin till you win, Mystery reel action.

The only reason I bring this up some things are platform specific and some can cross platforms from the same manufacturer.

Me, too!  Agree with Post YOU ROCK!!!

I am with Foster on this one.

ALSO......
Rick's FAQ on the home page..... needs some refresh or revamping/update
"S-Plus Set up"  should stay on there BUT.... I think there needs to be a newer section dedicated to the S2000
speaking as a newb for all the future newbs that come to this site....
I spent better part of a day not knowing the difference between a S plus, and a S2000...... first i started searching the threads and picked up bits and pieces of wrong information.. IE, "a S plus has a bill validator".... well yea.. BUT...... there are other differences than just that one thing...
Also just getting a S2000 for the first time, if this section (FAQ) have been updated I would not have made half the assumptions that I started out making such as
"where is the little white button?" and so forth...use me as a patsy if you will... I just think it might help newbs as myself in the future...
there is way way too much information on here to start making wrong assumptions... I realize you cant always hold someones hand, but each individual will have his or her own learning curve I would think. Thank God for the members out here helping the newbs! all hail!  Clap
