First I would like to say that this site is wonderful!  I would like to suggest that a working definition be the first post of each forum.  For example  Electromechanical Slot should have a rough explainantion of what they are, the years that they span and perhaps popular manufacturers.

I found this to be needed when I became interested in a video poker machine that would be in compliance with my 30 year state laws.  I was told to look at IGT fortune 1 machines but that Fortune 2 machines were better.  I wanted to know if I could purchase a fortune 2 game and still comply with the 30 year limit.  There was no information available.  I still dont know.

I am very active in the electromechanical forum and there are many inquiries that could be answered by a kind of preamble, and even a picture or two, in the forums where possible.  What are your thoughts?

Ok, I have been gone for a while, but just what is the deal with the classifieds "purge" every month? And unless I'm missing something, I see December has been "archived", but no sign of January. Seems like there should be a better way of doing a purge, without doing the whole month. An ad placed at the end of the month will just vanish. Is there some reason the purge can not be done by date last accessed? In other words ads that have not been read in over a month get archived. I'm asking because there was something I was looking at that from Jan now is nowhere to be found (unless I'm missing something).
