You can probably find something in the 40" range at your traget price during Black Friday deals.  Of course you are going to have to get up early and all, it all depends on how badly you want your target price.

Here's are some westinghouse 42" 1080p refurbished model for $450+ range plus shipping (for my zip code it was $49.00).

I've had good luck with Westinghouse Refurbs.  I bought a 32 inch set about 2 years ago that is used daily as an Xbox360/HTPC monitor and so far so good.

I want to thank everyone for the suggestions so far - but we are getting away from my original request.  I'm not looking for the cheapest deal out there...

SO, I want a 42" to 47" in the $600-$1000ish range - what model would YOU buy or suggest??  Please only suggest models that you have experience with - ie have seen or own/etc...I'm looking for opinions - not just prices...

Thanks!

The NLG site up on the 55" Vizio.....

Kirk,

You are truly my good buddy since I am discovering that I am not the only one who has done this!!! Hail applause Hail BUT, I have not brought video to the Master Bath! YET?? BUT, I do have the Zone two stero speakers hooked up in there to listen to the news when showering!  yes

Here is my picture of your picture of NLG on your big screen on my Panasonic 50" Plasma 1080 HD TV on a pan tilt swivel mount. arrow arrow arrow I too will catch up on missed TV shows from the internet on occassion, and I got a video card that is HDMI out, so the connection is simple and great!! I then went one step further and got a RF wireless keyboard and mouse that are hooked up at the same time as the main KB and mouse on the computer on other side of the bedroom! With alot of stuff to do with the site, and tons of great posts, it is awesome to make myself comfortable on the couch and read away!

First question: How do you plan to control it?  Scratch Head Long keyboard and mouse cables from one room to the other? Cry Laughing

On the serious side, you can go wired up to about 50 feet, depending on the level of HDMI you're sending. After that, you'll need a repeater or an extender like this:

Thanks for the link brichter!
I think for the price you can get computers nowadays,
I'll just buy another computer,
hook it up to the big LCD screen and
get a wireless keyboard & mouse for it! propeller
That will be pretty close to pulling the handle on my lazy-boy chair. yes

( I don't like the way I phrased that last sentence.... Tongue Out)

There's a good price right now on a Panasonic Viera TC-L32X1, it is a very highly rated set and even has an IPS panel, which has richer colors than the cheaper TN panels found thoughout the 32" lcd's priced in this range.  It even comes with an Ipod Dock that can be used to view and listen to your ipod music and videos.  The only drawback it's that it's a 720p set, but at 32", the visual difference between it and a 1080p panel is not all that noticeable.

Price today is $389.00 and it ships free.  Tax if you live in California.
