thanks for the reply i already tried that and when i scroll back to 7-1 it resets it self to 300 i left all the others at 1000 but every time i set 7-1 at 0 it changes itself back to 300

Tried it, Switch to SP 1274, 1207 not capable of no hopper pay

Can he set it to "1" so that only a payout of 1 would use the hopper and anything bigger would result in a hand-pay?

Switch to SP 1274 and be done with it

SP chips in the 1200 range shouldn't use the DIP switches at all, but 300 sounds suspicious to me as this is the hopper limit set on the old SP chips with both switches turned off. Have you tried turning DIP switches 1 & 2 ON? It couldn't hurt to try it, just for giggles.


PS: I was typing when Jim posted, but at the end of the day he is right. You're better off just putting in an SP1274 unless the SP1207 has some unique feature that none of us knows about.

The dips don't matter according to the PSR and I did try it just in case it wuzzzzzz a flaw in the software, I am suspecting a jusrisdictional thing, but not worth the time to investigate when a known solution is around

Well, after trying SP1274, 1207 and 1085 and numerous Reel Chips in the Type 2 family it appears that the Reel Chip is resetting the Hopper Limit back to 300, the secondary award (Red 7) is 300 on Haywire 3 cm, so possibly that has something to do with it, not being able to lock up in the middle of a respin of the larger pays, I have never thought about it, but guess it makes sense, I have tried setting the limits all up high and still resets it back, so unless someone has an idea, I think the Hopper Fooler (hopper with coins fixed to the pinwheel) is the way to go if keeping the theme, I have talked to Jerry and some of these games had the hoppers like this and he is going to try putting one in, there is a reason for not wanting coin in/out as these are amusement type games (big wink)

I think it only fits an S2000 though.

Have you tried an SP1146 , I think i made this one work for total handpay set up. I sold the machine so i can't double check !
