Is that one of those machines with the sideways-standing-up reel trays in the top box?

I beliieve the  IGT S+  with the "horizontal"  reels in the top box had a race car theme.   A Las Vegas company on  West Tropicana made a few of them... Neat machines !  Haven't seen one for several years.

I had a few Twin Thunders  that were in a  tall / round / "coffin  top "  S+  cabinet.   Non Validated.   Several years ago.

I think they were a  5 "skinnny"  reels game.   I just don't remember if they were a  L to R / cntr common / R to L  pay.   I sold  one to a member that reads this board... maybe he can post a picture of it...if he stumbles across this posting.

I played a nickle version of Twin Thunder at the Colorado Belle about 2 years ago. It's gone now.
Interesting game. It had a progressive too.

It sounds like a clone/rip-off of an older Bally EM-949 Twin Lightning.

Here is a picture from the Liberty-Belle Bally book.

I think I still saw one of those at the Four Queens in downtown Las Vegas on my last trip -- I'll try to remember to look for it again on my upcoming trip.

I was close..it's a IGT Twin Thunder. **STRANGE** machine. It's a S+ 5 reel, SIX coin! with two progressive meters. The 2 left hand reels are blue, the #3 reel is hald blue, half red and reels 4 and 5 are red. 3 coins at it pays left to right, 6 coins and it pays right to left also.
I got it running, has a few issues but fixable. It's a tall roundtop, painted royal blue. The two progressive meters are GLUED to the topbox glass. When I fire it up the top meter shows "$" and the lower one shows 0.00.
Pictures to follow.....
BTW.....got these out of the trash bin......any ideas on what to use them for? They do light up nice and bright..have a row of High Brightness Orange LED's in them...got 3 total.

...

Same as the Bally EM-949 above, including the six coin play. The only difference is the color scheme: the original Bally was orange and green. You can read the description from the picture that I posted if you expand it to maximum size.

IGT isn't known for their originality. no
