I have a 4th of July Splus slot machine, but I am getting a 3100 code that I cannot clear. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Tracy-

Welcome to the New Life Games forum -- we're glad to have you here.  You've found a great resource of information about your IGT S+ machine.

This page has a list of common S+ errors and the steps to resolve them.

A 3100 error is indicating an "extra coin out" -- that means that the machine believes that it paid out an extra coin on its last payout, or (I believe) that there is something blocking the hopper optics (perhaps another coin or a big ball of dust or something) and it thinks it's paying out a coin that it shouldn't.  Any of these could happen if your hopper brake is not functioning correctly (we can tackle that in a little while).

In general, you would open and close the door to resolve this error.  Let's start there.  Does anything happen if you open and then completely close the door (make sure the latch is all the way down) (anything such as the display going blank for a couple of seconds and then returning to the 3100 code)?

Thanks for having me!!

I was able to get the 3100 cleared , but now I have a 61 code that will notgo to 61-1. Do I need to put the clear chip in and if so could you walk me thru the sequence that this should be done in.

Thanks

A slot collector is like a coin hopper in a machine that never pays out.  they just keep on accumulating assets.
