Bally 5500 slot

I have a Bally 5500 pro slot machine with an 81 error. I just tried replaceing the battery on the MPU...no help. I tried doing a complete reset using jumper 10 and holding pseudo coin and test button but as soon as I pwr up I get an 81 on the winner paid LED. I need help.

I just got a Bally 5500 slot and changed the battery as well and I am having the same problem every time I turn the machine on i still get error code 81. I am thinking that I have a broken trace somewhere that will let the machine know that the battery voltage is there.

Any recommendations to what pin on the ram should be checked for power????

I ordered the Clear set prior to finding the form..... Will these help or do I have another problem that needs to be addressed???

This problem is often caused by a lack of connection at the board where the axial pins are soldered.  This can be a poor solder job or overheated board when soldering.  It is uncommon, but a trace could be scraped or broken. try using a bit of solder paste when soldering whil will make the heat transfer better and take less time to solder.

However my solder Skills do surpass many out there.... When soldering I use a .22 gauge rosin core solder with little temperature transfer to the components. (at least as little as possable) I would really like to know some test points on the PCB to determine the power is getting to the ram I would think.

I will check DMM beep the traces when I get home.

I was just wondering if anyone knew the test points.

So I got home and did battery check just to make sure I didn't mess up .... So the battery is soldered in correct.

I flow soldered the 2 connectors on the back of the board. I then reinstalled the board and I am still getting that fricken Error 81
 

  Soooooo, what do you think the next step is???     

Is it possable that the person that had the slot machine before me may of swaped boards?

So I have traced the power from the battery to pin 6 of U56.

With the IC in the circuit the power from the battery reads flat (0 volts) I removed the IC very carefully and now I get the 3.6 volts from the battery. I don’t know if this is supposed to function like this with the IC is circuit.

The IC part number is a TLC 372CP
