Went to a slot distibutor in mid Ohio today to buy 2 Gamemakers they had on Ebay for $450.  According to the ad these machines were "spotless, inside and out".  The lady took me into the warehouse and showed me 4 rows of 2 machines, each row consisting of a V7200 and a V7000. The older man in the place grabbed a dolly and started pulling out 2 machines from back row.  I told him I will take the 2 machines right up front where I was standing.  The 2 machines I wanted  were in the exact condition as the ad said, spotless.  They told me NO, you cant have those, you have to pick the machines from the back row first.  I said No, I like these 2 right here, I'll take them.  Again I was told NO, we are selling them from back to front.  I said what the hell is the difference, they are all selling for the same price, I'll buy these. So relunctantly,  I walked over to look at them. Monitors were TOAST,burnt to a crisp,  and the cabinet formica was scratched, torn and peeling off in some places and the insides were totally caked with tobacco dust.  I again mentioned the Ebay ad to her about the machines being spotless and the ones they insisted on me buying werent even in the same ballpark. She once again told me that they were selling the machines from back to front and it wouldnt be fair to the other Ebayers if I were to jump in front of the line.  Being the only customer there, with cash in my pocket, I looked around and asked her if she was frickin kiddin me. Well I was always told the early bird gets the worm, found out that rule dont apply here. Told her that whenever she sells those 3 rows of crap, call me. I'm buying the 4th row.  What a waste of gas!!!!!

Can you copy & paste a link to the ebay ad you were talking about?
It's not clear which machine you wanted. The V7200 or the V7000?

Their game kings look to be a much better deal with I-Games installed by the sounds of it.   I don't like the bait and switch though and would have walked like you did.

I too would have walked  but not without making a  big stink 1st  , you were there cash in hand  ad says  clean  that what you  spent your time driving to get,
hopefully your post will save others the trip . Also noticed  those in pic  had numbers on them if they were in front row those you should have got,  the game king deal sounds great I know I couldn,t or wouldn,t sell at that price  I just wonder what you,ll get for that deal funny the pic of g/k is hiding one game

I almost bought a Uni from them a few years back.  I put a bid on the machine, made a phone call to them, and then had a bad feeling. Thank goodness I was outbid (can you believe that) at the last minute. It would have been a 300 mile roundtrip!
Sorry to hear you made the trip for nothing!
K+ for sharing your experience.

Having never dealt with them, I can't say if they are good or bad.

Bummer about the drive.  Always said people with BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE end up loosing 5-10 times more in the long run compared to what they might have gained in the short run

I will call Caroline and Randy in the morning and
see what in the world happened...
I have had nothing but good dealings with them.

Did you bid/win the ones on eBay?  If so, did you leave negative feedback since the machines were nowhere near what the eBay auction indicated?

No, I never placed a bid.  Since they were an hour away I first wanted to see what I was bidding on or buying.

Not bidding shouldn,t change any thing if they were willing to sell you  it was a buy it now auction also  you think they would junp at your sale since they wouldn,t have to pay ebay. Really wonder where all the boards went from those game makers  someplace here we have a newer game make board  that wouldn,t fit out sitdown one   we payed like 110 for it  when i find i,ll post here maybe someone can use it

Well,
I just got off the phone with Caroline and I think it was just a big misunderstanding.
I think it was unfortunate what happened yes but she said that they're all in the same good condition.
No boards, they don't have them...they don't usually deal with V7000 or V72000 platform.

I have been following this thread.  As a note,  Look at pokernut's opening post to this as to the condition etc..  He evidently was just there and seen the games.  This is in response to the others he was offered after the ones he wanted that were clean etc. was not available for some reason as the ad had said.  I am also just-innocent by-stander here taking the info in.  Perhaps there may be some details missing.  The way the deal looks to me as it stands is Not Good.  -That is just my opinion.  Thanks B.

Haha! You think?
I agree with both you guys and I've invited Caroline here to NLG
to participate in this so we can hear both sides of the story...
perhaps she can fix any misunderstandings.
I think we should get all the facts first before anything else?

Same here but I have a question about their other auction with the Gamekings.
http://cgi.ebay.com/5-IGT-GAME-KING-TOUCH-SCREEN-VIDEO-POKER-KENO_W0QQitemZ370296590443QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item563765906b
This is straight from their auction..

"Here is a lot of five (5) IGT  19  INCH TOUCH SCREEN VIDEO GAMES, SOME  OF THESE  HAVE MULTI GAMES UP TO 10 GAMES PER MACHINE.  (1) has Texas Tea, one has Stinkin Rich, call me for more details on these games at 419-522-3777.  They all power up, parts complete and have 19 inch monitors.  these machines are very clean.  Some of these games already have credits on them to play."

Correct me if Im wrong but they look like regular Gamekings. They said one has Stickin Rich on it.How could it have that, its a 044 game?

Maybe because the two that you can't see don't have monitors?
If you enlarge the pic's the one in the back on the right hand side looks to be missing the monitor.

Stinkin Rich isn't just an 044 game.  I have it, and mine isn't 044, I do love the Lynard Skynard song on it "That Smell"  The casino probably did a partial conversion with only the minimum.  Still a good deal though.

Thanks,
Wayne

Wayne,

Is yours a I+?
Didnt know that it is available in something other than the 044 or AVP.

They could have converted one of the games to the 044,but at that price I doubt it.
