Hi everyone,I am a  brand spankin new slot owner as of last night when I picked up a IGT 2 coin Triple Double Diamond machine.I think I stole it for 550 Canadian dollars including the stand. It works great and has really no issues.I eventually want to get a manual but I DO have a couple questions, first is there a volume control?? I couldn't find one so I stuffed some black material in the speakers to quiet it up some.2nd is when I bought it it takes Canadian coin but the bill validator is for U.S. currancy, can I switch the validator to accept Canadian bills?? If so what and where can I get it and for how much??
thanks in advance and I'm looking to suck everyone dry of knowledge..........gosharpie97.

Open the door, turn the key and go into options on page 3.2.1
Set the volume you want ,close the door and you should be good to go!
Here's a link to a page from the S2000 manual>>>

Always good to meet a fellow cannuck. Which City are you in ??

To change to the Coinage you need to simply swap the sample coin from a US Coin to a Canadian Coin or a token.

The bill validator is a bit more of a bear - I have not changed mine out yet but its one of the things on the to-do list.

1. The bill validator on a US machine is a DBV145, DBV200, or a WBA 11,12,13.
The DBV145 takes bills 2 ways and cannot take the US colored $10 with the most current rev of software.
The DBV200 takes bills 4 ways and cannot take the US colored $5 (their latest bill) but can take the colored $10 with the most current rev of software.
The WBA (world Bill acceptor) 11,12,13 are in the same boat as the DBV200 if you are using a S+.
The limitation here is that IGT wants to kill off the S+ slot so they did not authorize JCM (the makers of the bill validator) to release new software for the colored $5.00's. Other platforms like Bally, Williams, Aristocrat etc use the same acceptors with full support for all of the colored currency. Since you have a S2000 you should not have any issues getting the colored $5.00 US software.

2. You can change over to the CBA145/200 - I am not sure what is the latest Rev of the software but I understand that it is several colors behind what is current.
The WBA 23 would have the most current rev of software for Canadian money and I am not sure that with an S+ that it accepts everything but again the S2000 should be fine.
I am in need of clarification on what is the most current rev for the WBA 23 and what it accepts on S+

3. What I have learned is that the Canadian CBA's and WBA's are slightly wider than the US equivlents. This means that we need to take a file to our door and expand the
Bill opening slightly wider. I believe there is a canaidan bezel that is available to cover the opening (and any rough edges from our butchering).

4. There are basically 3 peices to the bill system. That is the Bill Head, Transport and Cash Can. Since the bill is wider we need to replace everything. Unfortunately the new cash can also requires us to replace the whole metal assemply in which the cash can slips into.

Wayne or Jim from BlueRidge might be able to fill in some of the revs and items I am still a bit fuzzy on.

I do know that there are a few folks out there that have Canadian Bill acceptors that want to swap for current US acceptors.

Well,  I forgot about Jay-Sorry- Duh!.  When I lived in jersey we called canadians "shoobees" I do not know why,  It was just what was known as the dialouge there at the time.  Great post jay and will be informative for them.  Hope the term shoobee does not offend as I never truely asked what it meant back then.  Merry X-Mas  Xmastree1.  B777

Welcome aboard gosharpie97, that's a great deal for an S2000.  Your machine would have a WBA, you would need a WBA23 head and software for it, either the unit flashed or a chip depending if it's a wba 12 or wba 13.  Canadian heads aren't cheap, you may want to just keep a little U.S. cash around to put credits on.

Jay,
The opening on the door in the S-Plus is smaller on both the CBA and the DBV than on the WBA, U.S. or CDN didn't matter.  There was an upgrade bezel that would fit without opening up the cutout.  Jim at blueridge may have it.

Thanks,
Wayne

Thanks for the welcome guys.Stayoutta... I did try what you said but couldn't find an option for volume levels.I did find different sound options so maybe I was close but didn't find the cigar...yet. I will snoop around more later tonight.I just finished wiring up a power on/off switch rather than having to plug/unplug useing the power cord all the time. And I must say it looks pretty good as it also plugs up one of the holes in the stand.
This slot is just as tight as the ones here at Ceasars Windsor. LOL!!

Wayne,

I thought the 11,12,13 were the same heads and the softwarewas in the transport ?
So wouldnt it be that the transport would need to be flashed ? but I also thought "our" money was wider so the transport had to be physically changed ? and that leads to the cash can and then the housing .......

The 11,12,13 are also setup to detect magnetic monies so I think you need the actual 23 head and not just the flash.....

I am as much asking as I am telling here...... as I want to do the least necessary to get mine converted over....

A WBA10/11/12/13 head will work on a WBA10/11/12/13/20/21/23 transport, and so will a WBA20/21/23/25, the 1x series is for U.S. bills, the 2x series is for Canadian bills.  a WBA10ss and WBA20ss transport would be interchangeable and flash not eprom.  A WBA11ss and 21ss transport are interchangeable and are eprom version.  A WBA12ss and a WBA22ss would be interchangeable and flash units with 4 way acceptance.  A WBA13 and WBA23 transoprt would be interchangeable and eprom for 4 way acceptance.  The heads would either be Canadian(international) or U.S., the software would depend on the transport and country/currency

The reason Canadian heads cost a lot is that countries like Brazil and european countries buy machines from U.S. distributors, and need the international/Canadian heads to make the machine accept their currency.
I hope this all makes sense.

Thanks,
Wayne

And... the software resides in the transport on either an eprom that is removeable or a flash chip that needs a download tool to load.

now for a glass of wine.. wine

Thanks,
