Slot Losers of America / Tokie Owens

« on: December 28, 2009, 04:15:05 PM »

Picked up a Juggler V from the neighbor who said she didn't like it anymore and gave me 500 tokens to boot!  One hour, some contact cleaner, a few bulbs, and away we go. Works really well now. Pics to follow. Maybe Stout can find a way to attach a bill validator to it! Oh yeah, you can do Montana credits up to 50. Now for a volume control and a genuine IGT pull handle and an auto stop module. Well, it still is no competition to an S2000, I'll just enjoy it for what it's worth. Got to be one of the cheapest made pachislo's I have ever seen. No real coin mech, just a chute. But it rejects quarters (got to keep it legal now). A lot of fun overall, made by one of the lesser known manufacturer's of pachislo KITAC. Ever wonder why Vegas style machines cost way more than pachislos? Well pachislo's are made mostly of wood and have no real security or communication modules or bill acceptance or even a coin comparator. But they are 1 step above a toy slot bank they should still not cost 250 dollars. The 50-100 dollar price on Craig's list is about right.

Here is a spooky thought...
At the G2E show IGT had on display a few differant "PACHISLO" style machines, complete with the 3 skill-stop buttons!
They looked and played like crap......

I had a few, "Popeye" "Sinbad" "Beat the Dragon" "Plannet T" and "Dynamite"
you are correct....they are nothing but a piggybank with lights in them.
Here is what I did to one of them (really cool). Go to the hardware store and get a table lamp "Repair kit" install the mount and lamp socket in a hole drilled in the top of the cabinet. Add the lampshade of your choice...PRESTO!!! you have a cool "Slot machine" themed table lamp!!!
Actually it did look and work really nice Smiley
