Alternatives for Slot Stands?

Well, even though I don't really have the room in my house, the temptation is too great and I
will be adding to my collection soon. I am looking for solid reliable alternatives to stands for a couple of slot machines.
Been cruising the net looking for clean used ones...  One place I found, had some really nice used stands but they wanted almost as much per stand
to ship them as they wanted for the stands!  
So I am open to suggestions. I could build a couple of stands, but I have enough projects on my plate at the moment  

Also are the S2000's and the GameKings dimensions fairly close to the S+ ?

TAKE BUILD A 2 X 4 FRAME AT 8 FEET LONG OR MORE DEPENDING ON WALL LENGTH YOU HAVE .

THEN GO TO HOME DEPOT OR LOWES

BUY A KITCHEN COUNTERTOP WITH BACKSPLASH OR WITHOUT . I LIKE WITH BACKSPLASH . USE LIQUID NAILS OR LONG WOOD SCEWS PRE-DRILLED
 COVER THE ENTIRE TOP OF 2 X 4 FRAME WITH THE COUNTERTOP WITH WHATEVER COLOR YOU WANT .

A NICE BLUE MARBLE OR BLACK MARBLE COLOR IS NICE .

ON FRONT BUY 1/2 SHEETS OF BEAD BOARD    1/4 " THICK X 4 X 4 FEET  YOU CUT IT IN HALF SO YOU HAVE TWO 24-INCH PEICES >.FOR THE FRONT
YOU THEN CUT THEM DOWN TO THE 18-20 -INCH HEIGHT  PLACE THAT AGAINST THE FRONT OF  2X4 FRAME
 
IF YOU FIND A PIECE OF COUNTER TOP AT HOME DEPOT OR LOWES WITH A CHIPPED END CUT AT A 45 DEG ANGLE ETC....THEY MARK DOWN THE PRICE ETC

YOU THEN HAVE A SOLID WORK SURFACE NO SEPERATE CABINETS TO WORRY ABOUT DIFFERENT COLORS ETC .

PLUS YOU CAN HIDE YOUR SINS WITH CROOKED CUTS ETC ON THE FRONT BEAD BOARD WITH A PEICE OF 1" X 3" PINE STOCK FOR BASE TRIM
UNDER THE COUNTER TOP I USED A PEICE OF CROWN MODLING I HAD LEFT OVER ..

IF YOUR MILDLY GOOD WITH HAMMER SKILL SAW AND SCREW GUN ETC ITS A 2-HOUR PROJECT YOUR DONE . PLUS ITS MOBILE

COST IS LESS THAN TWO CASINO CABINETS

I CAN POST PICTURES THURS. FRIDAY ETC .

 SOME OTHER IDEAS I WAS GOING TO TRY BUT DECIDED NOT TO WAS MOUNT USED SLOT GLASS
 ON THE FRONT WITH MIRROR CLIPS OR CUT OUT THE BEAD BOARD AND LIGHT IT FROM BEHIND .
BUT NEVER DID BECAUSE OF THE LIKELY HOOD OF IT GETTING KICKED OUT ETC .

I'm just finishing building a 2 machine cabinet......out of mostly 3/4" plywood and formica.
I haven't added up my total cost on it yet....but just the 2 sheet of formica was $160.
I also had to buy a router and hole saws to do the finish work.

I 'm down to putting an oak molding around the top and stainning it.
I chose basic black fomica ...since my machines are the black with silver chrome S+ .

I did look are the kitchen top pieces at home depot and decided they didn't have enough depth to them compared to
the single machine stand that I currently have.

Been hoping to sell the single ...which has a few chips in it for  $50...but haven't found anyone near here (Akron, Ohio)
that may want it.

When my new stand is done....I'll have just enough formica left to make a couple of boxes for the progressive's.....since I've got the 9" flat tops.

Of course if you have a wood shop you can build your own like mine.

that looks similar to what i did except i did not seperate cabinet to cabinet etc .. i just built a frame i explained two post back
then covered the front with bead board etc and a small base trim to kick your foot against etc ..
the seperated part bothers me as I have dogs and its a source for hair to get stuck between the cabinets etc or if a party is going you would find a beer can or bottle plastic cup inbetween the base cabinets .a solid front of bead board I mentioned back a few post looks fine and you can run a entire wall length and 45 a corner if you want to continue the slot cabinet around the room .

THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH RUNNING A FULL WALL LENGTH (IF ITS A LONG WALL) IS  THAT YOU THEN HAVE TO FILL ALL THE VACANT SPOTS WITH SLOTS ..

I was tossing out an old black laminated entertainment center from the 1980's.  I cut the entire top of it off and just kept the bottom with cabinets...reinforced with a few 2x4's on the inside and added lots of screws...fits 2 machines perfect and looks like real slot stands, plus it's already got the doors that open for storage.

I just built one from 24" X 24" plywood and 4 X 4's (5). Then I used thin pieces of wood to reinforce the legs and it works well. Cost: 50 dollars.

I went to the local thrift store and found some pretty nice end tables. Worked fine for me, total investment: $19
