2 coin SB100059
3 coin SB100060

Thanks, I'm trying to help out a member figure out
if he's got the right strips for his game!
He says it fits a Triple Double Dollars 2 and a 3 coin game -
but I think his SB's are really made for the Triple Double Diamond 2 and 3 coin games?
They have the same payouts on the award glasses perhaps?

Thanks Ohio!
The weird thing is that symbol combo from the S2000 Triple Dbl Diamonds/Dollars
is exactly the same as the S+ SS7700 and the SS7693 which are both Triple Dbl. Diamond games.
However, one's a 2 coin game while the other is a 3 coin game.

It seems somehow that the Bible is listing them as using different strips ( 432A versus 342B)
when I fact after looking at their respective PAR sheets, the symbols are in the same locations?

"uh, ...Houston, we have a problem..."

If I remember right those numbers refer to the pay table not sure if it the artwork or such but definitely not the strips.

I will use Wild Cherry as an example since I know those use the same strips for both 2 cm and 3 cm games.
2CM Wild Cherry is 120A and 3CM Wild Cherry is 121A

I did notice the numbers in the par are different under the strip lists one could be the Cartoon version and the other the regular strips
One was 3516 and the other was 3517 sometime those numbers match the strips sometimes not.
I also checked the 5CM version of both the number under the physcial list was 3517.

And I know my strips are grey backlit so they wont match the numbers at all.

Thank you so much Capt!
That's going to help out a member here a lot!! applause applause Hail
He pointed out a very good question to me this morning in which he was
wondering if many of the S+ PAR sheets could be similar to S2000's?
I had found that the Triple Double Diamond game in the Bible with the
associated PAR matched that of the S2000 sheet above.
You learn something new everyday!

However, what was perplexing to me was that the symbols are laid out the
same way on the strips for both a 2 (342A) and 3 (342B) coin games?
The Bible contradicts that in stating that there's two different strip paytables.
How in the world does a machine know the difference
between a 2 or 3 coin game if they're using the same strips? Scratch Head 2
Is it because of the different SS chips?
I was under the impression that 2 and 3 coin games needed different strips.
I could be very wrong on this though.
It's confusing at best.  arrow

Bunker,

There are alot of S+ games that were converted to S2000 games so that they did not have to do all of the math again to reinvent the wheel. I am guessing that the reason they went to SB chips and converting them to S2000 is two fold. They wanted the better sound for some of the games, but more importantly they wanted to sell more software letting the customer think that it is new and improved, and they don't want to sell S+ versions due to their desire to not support S+. (You can't plug a SB base chip into a S+!)

It is very common for the reel strips to be the same amongst different coin multipliers of the same game... The reason for the difference in the strip paytables is because of the different payouts due to the added coin bet. The math for hitting a combination does not change, rather the payout changes is all. Also the glass changes obviously. The machine knows the difference because of the data contained in the base or SS chip as that is what controls the paytable in the machines.  They usually use the same strips for the most part, and are sometimes different on one coin games, and are definately different for multiline games as opposed to CM games. Triple Diamond uses the same strips for 3, 5, or 9 line games for example. The thing that gets really confusing is when they have different strip sets for the same game theme. I forget what a good example of this would be, but it happens.

They have to do something to keep us on our toes!

Thank you so much for adding more stuff to my CRS brain!....lol  applause applause applause Hail

Actually, I know I have like about 3 different sets of Double Diamond strips
and it's amazing how hard it is to keep track if you don't mark them with a
small fine point marker pen on the very bottom stating WHAT FRIGGIN' GAME IT'S FOR!!! lol

The difficulty level must of been very hard for them understand that it would of
been a lot simpler to print the game titles and reel positions on the bottom of strips instead of numbers! lol

Of course, In keeping with what you said - thy're keeping us on our toes!

Check out the bottom of this strip!!!

They have made it hard because they do not have  across reference sheet for us, and not one for themselves either from what I have been told. They have to look up the part number, then look at the appropriate PAR sheet after they look up the paytable ID to figure out which SS or SB it is!

Also I am not sure if you knew this little nugget or not, but I will post anyhow for others who may not know as well...

If you look at the PAR sheet listing in my reply #4 about SB100059 & SB100060 Physical Reel Strip Listing you will notice 3 vertical numbers.... 4127, 4126, 4126.... That is the reel strip ID# for strip 1,2,and 3 in that order. In this case the different strip is the first one, and the second and third strips are the same!

One thing better on most newer strips this number is printed on the bottom of your strips after the letter "F." So on your pictured DD strip the F4105 represents strip #4105(?) IGT part number 84868700.

Just some more CRS info!

CH CaptainHappy

I like your number/label system too, but you still neglected to add the SS or SB # to make it even easier!  Cry Laughing Cry Laughing Cry Laughing

Forgot to add the following trick. When I have identified a reel stip that does not have the 4 digit number after the F, I add it on the back of the reel strip with a fine point sharpie marker so that it is easy to cross check on a PAR sheet later.

Holes! Crazy   Seriously, holes, i.e., extra blank spaces. There are still 22 positions on that strip.

Ever notice when they put a 7 above or below the Double Wild symbol how small the blank between them is?

Current Nevada rules state;

 1.100 Reel strips.
1. Given a physical reel strip of length L units containing N physical stops, each blank space
must occupy a minimum of (L/N)*0.4 units. These blank symbols must be completely free of any
portion of any adjacent symbol.
2. All non-blank and blank symbols must be centered in their respective space allocation.
(Adopted 12/4 Effective 1/1/05)

Not sure if those strips would make the rule. Universal did that all the time!
