Hello to all, just acquired a IGT and know absolutely nothing about it so I did a search on goggle and you guys popped up. Lurked around a bit and find that you have a very knowledgeable base here congrats! Wish I had something to contribute but for know I will just be a sponge soaking up all info I can to get this IGT up and running. I build hot rods for a living (30+ years), fixed a few pinballs mach. but this will be a first. Thanks for reading, now off to find the smartest guy/gal you have here that can walk me threw this new adventure.................................... Lon

Glad to have you. Is it an   s+ or a  S2000?
When you go for help you will have to know that.
I think it might be an S+.
By the way NICE ROD in back ground.  Clap Clap

Lon   It don't take a whole lot to stay on the good side on this site.

I'm guessing your machine is a older S+ with no Bill Validator. If your missing the coin tray, they aren't that hard to find.  Looks like all the buttons and lit so the machine must be in working order. The only problem I see for you is, which cars you have to get rid of to make room for more slot machines.

Buzz, got any more shirts?

I do have the coin tray, just took it off to pull  the coin bucket, clean and inspect things, no smoking gun as to why it won't fire up. Yep no bill validator, just the quarter validator. Looks like it time to join a sub forum, which one? Thanks

Welcome to NLG Straycat. Nice cars!
Your machine looks like an early S+.
You should post in the IGT S and S+ area. Pictures of the mpu board should help too. And what is displayed in the win and credit meters.

By the way, I have never owned an IGT but this site has educated me well.
But please don't ask me to fix it!   rotflmao

By all means if it's not working, please open up a thread before doomsday gets us all.  ( I have a appointment to get fitted with wings later today) Go to http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?board=60.0     Just click on new topic and tell us about it.

Jim the buttons are lit up so it's ready to play. My guess is it needs a sample coin in the comparator.

Hello from the very cold North of Ireland. I found this site by accident but it looks really good.
I have just bought 3 Bally s5500 machines I believe and no doubt will be asking loads of questions when i try and get them going.
Anyhow will have a look around the site and hopefully some of my Irish luck will rub off on you.

NLG Welcome GSD Dan wave

We'll get your machine working in no time!  propeller

Just pick the appropriate board (S+ or S2000 in the Reel Slots board group) and start a thread. The more you tell us, the better we will be able to help you. Don't forget the detailed pictures.

If you're not sure what type of machine you have, an S2000 will have a blue florescent alpha display on the lower left side of the reel glass; an S+ will have old fashioned red numeric LEDs.

Hi Guys, thought I had found exactly what I was searching for here so I joined up. But it turns out I cannot access the 'Submit a new file section' to get the service manual for the Aristocrat Esprit series of game machines. I read in another thread that they were available there for download.

I have an old Aristocrat Esprit 'Inca King' game machine, which used to work 15 years ago and now doesn't, not suprised. I suspect it is just the eeproms have been erased. I just want to give it the quick once over before it gets dismantled and thrown out.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

ps. Where is the best place to start a new thread for my repair log? I am also considering doing a Atmega conversion of the game machine if the current computer board is cactus. The mechanics all still look ok.

 NLG Welcome TimC  wave

There is actually very little in the submit a new file section right now, and nothing for Aristocrat. Perhaps one of the members here will be able to help you. We do have a small group from Australia and New Zealand that help each other when they can, although not as actively as with some of our other brands of slots.

Without knowing anything about the machine, my first thought is that the battery probably died. Computerized slots have batteries with lives of 8-15 years to backup the bookkeeping, denomination, and other settings of the machine. If that is the case, the machine's settings will need to be reset after the battery is replaced, and for our US machines, that also requires one or more special chips for security reasons. I don't know how the Esprit works, so this is all speculation.

The member's repair log forum is here: http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?board=76.0   Please read the two stickied threads before posting, as we are fairly strict about the content of posts in that section.

Welcome to NLG.

Karma  for posting.

I know nothing about universal machines. Lucky thing is, there are some uni pros on board. They will chime in soon. We all like to see pic's.
