I'm an absolute newbie when it comes to talking slot machines (or poker machines here in Australia), but now have an interest in a mechanical Aristocrat three reeler, called Aztec Gold built around 1966. All mechanics working well.....after reading this post http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=4877.0 here on the forum. Very informative stuff!!!!
When I say "an interest in", I suppose I should explain: My son picked up the machine for next to nothing, dumped it on the living room floor, and said "Dad, you gotta have a look at the insides of this."
I did, and I'm hooked!

Hi from cold and snowy Minnesota....land of the Minnesota Vikings!!  New to slot machine world.  Right now I have an antique Mills 1939 dime slot with many many years of fun under its belt.  I also have a Williams Life of Luxury with even more hours on it....and this weekend I'm set to pick up an IGT Frog Prince....again scheduled to have many hours put on it.  Looking forward to learning all that I can here, and trust me, that means starting from the bottom on up.

Hi Louie,
Welcome to the site.  You are off to a good start, but like many others will probably continue to get more.

Thanks,

Another new guy... From San Francisco... New to slots in general, but I'm picking up fast. My dad is the real nut, started with a igt s+ double hearts, then he bought a second identical machine "for parts only" or so it was sold that way. Well a whopping $100 later and he had a second fully functioning slot. Which resides at a friends house (lack of space) well a couple of weeks ago he came apon "the one" s2000 barcrest double triple diamond deluxe with cheese. He had to have it, but didn't have the space... So guess what I got Smiley neither of us are new to electro mechanics. I have a 7, 70's pinball machines too (a whole other addiction, both of which my wife ain't to fond of) but there's always something new to learn!

Hi all, my name is Mike and I'm really here to make sure everything runs perfect on my wife Valery's new Game King. We picked it up last night and she'll probably be glued to it for the few weeks. Read around a bit and I really like all the available information.

Recently purchased a slot. IGT Wild Gold Bars and looking for information to program the payout/cashout ticket. The slot came with the request string but I'd like to change the font if possible.

 NLG Welcome

Welcome! I think your machine is an IGT s2000.
Here's the forum for your machine. Ask the question there . You might also do a search withing that forum using keywords "ticket printer." The answer might already be there. If now, one of the members of this amazing place will chime in!  wave

 NLG Welcome
 Dancing Party

Hi Chris. This is a great place for help, although it seems to be a little quiet in this forum now! Maybe it's due to tax time!
Go to the REEL SLOTS section and then to the IGT s plus. There's a TON of threads that will help you get to know your machine and all it's various settings. Have fun!
Oh...and start right HERE:

Hi, everyone!!!! BRAND NEW HERE, AND BOY, LOVE WHAT I SEE ON THIS SITE!!!! I have owned a Bally 6000 machine (25 cent, 1-3 coins) for a couple years and love it... I have just bought myself 45 more slot machines this week that all came from Venetion Hotel Years ago from a guy....  Sigma, IGT, and Williams machines... All of them are made in the 90s...  Have dot matrix ones (X Factor, Winning Streak, and Jackpot Party), to IGT Slots of every kind and denomination and then some Sigma machines like Tunnel Treasure and others...  Been working 12+ hours a day, learning by trial and error how to get ach of them up and running perfectly... Lots of problems, but already have 3 100% perfect and 4 are just minor voltage issues to a couple other situations I have read about here and will apply in morning...

Oh, I live here in Salt Lake County, Utah...  Just 10 min. from doorstep to Snowbird Ski Resort and 15 minutes to Alta!!!!  Also 15 and 20 minutes to Solitude and Brighton Ski Resorts Respectively...  Any questions feel free to ask!!!!  I will be selling all the machines (AND/OR PARTS POSSIBLY TOO)

Hi All.
I just found this site tonight! I wish I found it about five years sooner.
I'm on my second Game King, so I'm learning what's new. Looks like
a great place to get good answers.
