Me at work

I have an IGT PE PLUS MUTLI-POKER drop in unit. The motor was bad - replaced - tested okay in machine - however - when I close the front panel - lock the top down - I get CALL ATTENTDANT with "COIN-IN TIME OUT".  reset and j/p key do not clear.  Machine was working except for the hopper.

Check the coin optics for any blockage -- blow them out gently with some compressed air if you can -- if one of the optics is blocked it may think a coin has started to go in and got stuck, or that you're trying to string a coin through.  If you continue to have trouble, try using a different set of optics if you have one for testing purposes.

Then, close and latch the door completely.  The screen should go blank for a second and then come back up and either be ready to go or tilt again.  If the screen does not go blank for a second after you close the door, you may have a problem with your door optics.

Something I discovered on my PE+ drop-in unit.  If the coin comparator assembly is not seated correctly in (or removed from) the game, you'll get an un-clearable coin-in timeout.  Power the game off, ensure that the coin-in assembly is seated correctly, then power the machine back on.
