I have a 3902 board and I also have the 22 key.  Am I required to have another key to change the denomination from nickels to pennies?  I was under the impression when you do a clear ram reset with the 22 key,  it requires you to pick your denomination settings.  Any help would be appreciated.

This is your chance to set it up multi-denom....
Set the BASE to 0.01
Set the rest of the stuff up.
SAVE the settings.
Select Multi-Denom
Turn ON 0.01, 0.05, and the rest of the ones you want active
When your done with that go into game setup
Set up the max bets for each denom...
Dont forget to set up EVERYTHING before you back out of the key menu!
I usually set it up in this order
Credit/Base Denom
Multi denom
Game/options hopper/handpay
Max bets
Clock
Sound

You dont have to do them in this order (except the base denom)
You get ONE shot at this, get it right or you will have to clear it again...

Great stuff Kirk.  Thanks. Ill try it tomorrow in the order you told just to be  safe. One more hopefully simple question.  When you are talking about setting it to 0.01 and. .0.05. Your a little ahead of me.
This is what I have done to his point.
I removed base chip and installed 22 key.
I turned machine on and it gave me the 3 different options as to clear ram before reboot etc.
I said yes to the first top option
It then asked me to put base chip back in and reboot. Unless I am misunderstanding the instructions
When I turned itback on, it gave the eprom and cmos erorrs. I got through all that.
Then it showed me the nickel denomination in the center and asked me to verify all settings before activating the game. I thought I did it right but I pressed the self test switch and went togame optons to set denomination but received same message. (Requires chip to change this option)

Obviously I missed or skipped quite a few steps.
Can you see were I went wrong
Any advise. Did I pick the correct option on the ram clear instructions. Any final pointers. Much appreciate it

If your switching your CC to accept pennies make sure you remove the counterweight from the comparitor. You should also remove it if you ever want to use dimes. The weight of these coins sometimes causes jams or coins not to register. Jim at Bettor Slots showed me this trick on my dime machine and I did to my penny machine when I noticed problems.
