Regarding filling the hopper from belly.

8:10 in, doesn't look possible/practical to do that way..  Belly door allows access to the bills and easy to change the glass..

If it was "easy" to get to the hopper, I'd bet there'd be theft by breaking that front glass and grabbing tokens (esp on the high denom machines).. not saying it's a good idea, but someone silly would try it..lol..

That's not the coin hopper he's referring to in the video, it's the cash can that hold the bills. Much better to grab the cash can than the tokens...  rotflmao rotflmao rotflmao

I noticed something strange at 9:01 near the end of the video. The dbv turns bezel light turns off after he inserts the first of three coins. Scratch Head  On my machines, the dbv doesn't go out until max bet is reached; this makes sense, since the customer might drop in one or two coins, or play off the last one or two credits, and then need to feed in a bill to finish betting for that spin.

Has anyone else ever seen the dbv light go out before max bet was reached? Scratch Head 2

While we are in CSI Sherlock Smiley Sherlock Smiley Sherlock Smiley mode....

Was I the only one that thought that you would get another foot of AC cord if you unhooked it from the coin drop chute???

Also did everyone catch his unique and embarrassed coin counting at one point... ONE.... TWO..... TWO!!!.... THREE. Crazy Cry Laughing It stole a coin from him! LOL

Actually I should not make fun of the video as it is nice that they obviously made this for their customers who may have never have been inside a slot machine. K+ for them if I knew who they were!  Clap bust gut laughing

It's almost like he's got his wires crossed... Tongue Out
No seriously...lol

Let me try my best to explain>>>

When you drop at least one coin, the "Cash Out" light should go off.
The MPU shuts down the option of cashing out until the game is completed
When the game is completed, the Cash out button is enabled and the bulb lights up -
providing there's any credits remaining on the credit display.
If there's no credits, the cash out button will not light up.
That's why I think he has his wires crossed? lol

I don't recall of any way to disable the DBV light to
go out before the max bet is reached.
UNLESS, his settings for each coin is worth more than 1 credit for example...
setting the coin as worth 25 pennies and the dbv has an absurdly low limit setting?
But we can clearly see that he's dropping quarters and
receiving (sometimes) one credit per coin?

That doesn't explain it.
He must of butchered the door harness and
plugged in the cash out bulb to the DBV bulb is the only thing I can figure out...  Scratch Head rotflmao

BTW My knuckles would be black and blue if I
punched in the cash door the way he does!  LOL
Surprised the cash door isn't all dented in...
He reminds me of that guy who gets rid of the black line
on his LCD TV screen with a baseball bat! LOL

Cash cans are locked, the area they fit into is locked, and the main door or belly door is locked.

Just a follow up.  Went to Home Depot and got two 5/8" (pretty sure on size), fill plugs in the drawers they have for the misc hardware.  They fit loose in the hole ar first they bending the prongs backwards secures them tightly.. I think the next size probably wouldn't fit..  Came out well, works for my application for home use.

One was for the Club operator & the other was for the BEAN counter.

Hey Johnny wave

This is the first thing I do to a machine when I get it home.  I have been doing it for months.  I can't stand having the holes in the doors.  I use 3/4 inch hole plugs, bend two prongs on each side and snap in place.  I normally have to bend a prong in the inside to make for a nice finished look.

I bet you paid over a buck a piece for them to, yea?? Scratch Head  I went to Lowe's a couple weeks ago and paid $1.07 plus tax and I bought 12 of them.  I came home and did a search on eBay for them and came up with this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120539183458&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Now I have plenty around here for the off chance I buy another machine.   bust gut laughing rotflmao bust gut laughing Cry Laughing bust gut laughing rotflmao bust gut laughing Cry Laughing  For those that know me already, I am sure you will get a kick out of that remark.  Stat, Bunker, CH, Buzz..... any comments??   Scratch Head Tongue Out bust gut laughing

Here's a couple pictures from the machines I picked up a couple days ago.  I haven't even had a chance to clean the machines but you can see I covered the holes  frying pan

Good theory, but at 5:30 in the video the DBV bezel light is on, and then he reaches up and turns on the Cash/Credit light by pressing the switch.

Perhaps he's running a really old SP chip that disabled the validator after the first coin in?

That seems like about the only answer...
I believe even my S2000 turns the DBV light off after
I drop at least one coin in the slot.
I'm not sure,  as I'm not near it right now.

I will match their EBay price and shipping they have listed for 50 pieces with the chrome finish. ... $26.91.

They are chrome .. just that I can't take good pictures.
