Open the door on your S+ machine & press the little white test button until you see a [5]
Use the spin button to change it from a [5-1] to [5-2].
If that don't work the way you want it to, do the same thing but change it to [5-0].
One of these settings will make all your bills will go to credits.
Close the door and the Cash/Credit button should be lit up.
Use this link to find out what chips you have in your machine and
post back here please and I will be able to tell you how to set your credit/coin/hopper limits.>>>

We really need you to tell us exactly what SP chip you are using...
From there we can give you specific details on how to set up your machine to turn bills into credits.
Pressing the "Service Coin" button the coin-in optics is not going to help.
All it does is put one credit onto your machine for testing purposes while the door is open.

Try this if you don't know how to tell us what SP chip you have>>>

Press the Test switch up by the power switch or MPU box
until you see a [2] in the "Winner Paid" window.

Turn the Reset key once and there should be a [5] in the "Winner Paid" window.
What number is in the "Credits" window?
If it's a zero OR a [1] >>> press the "Spin" button once to make it a [2].

Now, close the door. the lights should go out on your display and
then the "Insert Coin" display should light up - as well as your 'Cash/Credit" button light.

Put a tiny bit of electrical grease on the white gears behind the head
that go between the DBV head and the bill threadmill.
Make sure the head is up firmly against the threadmill gears and are meshed nicely...
There should be no separation between the gears.
That's why you're getting the wicked grinding sound.

Well Bunker, I suggest you try a different keyboard, you know... one that doesn't have any damaged internal traces from multiple beatings  or coffee or coke syndrum...   bust gut laughing  frying pan  rotflmao
Or..... you might have the infamous "tracking everthing you type and stealing all your passwords program that the wife installed !"

If he uses wd40, his bill acceptor would be a lot quieter due to
the melted down plastic mush that-used-to-be-gears.
However, I would NOT see the bill acceptor "accepting" anything again except
a lot of high wind speed as Staz flings with all his might -
a bill acceptor into the Connecticut River!

It's that white plastic gear grease...
Sometimes it's a piss yellow color.  arrow
I don't know what it's called...
I'm sure Radio Shack carries it for their little electric remote controlled cars.
Better toy stores or hobby shops might carry it for the plastic gears on slot cars.
It's made with petroleum oil and white dish soap really and a few other chemicals for anti-rusting.

They sell them in small, tiny tubes that when squeezed too hard -comes out too fast!
Put a little on your fingertip and smash it into the gear.
Manually rotate the gears if possible to spread the grease.
Remember, just a tiny little dab-will-do-ya!
You don't want it all over the place and getting everywhere!!!

Reminds me of when I first took apart an 8-Track cassette tape cartridge.
They used to put this stuff on the molded plastic center spindle that held the cassette reel.
I used to wonder what that stuff was. lol

Added>>>
Clean the black rollers of gum.
I like to use a Q-tip and plain old water.
Don't use alcohol-based products - they just eat up plastics or cloud up optical lens.

any Auto parts store should have Lubriplate, it's a white grease. I've never put any lubricant on a BV gears, I would think that dirt and grit would tend to stick to the gears and would have to be cleaned every now and then. but I live in the desert ( blowing sand ) And I don't put a hundred dollar bill in a machine 180 times in one night. staz reset the BV for 1 dollar then you can play the same number of games and only have to put a $100 bill in the machine 18 times. I know your saying I'm playing $200 a spin. are you?  If you happen to hit a big one, who will come around and pay you?  Cry Laughing Cry Laughing Cry Laughing
