Hello, Learned alot about these slots this past month or so. Playing yesterday and middle reel plastic came off causes reel tilt . Reapplied shut off/on . All reels spun slowly upon power up  . Message in display: door open M  Reset key did nothing , game would not go into self test. Powered on/off. Same message. Reels still spinning slowly. Came back in an hour. Powered game off and seemed to work. Not sure why:)

I would like to eliminate optos on door and install interlock switch instead. Is this possible to minimize a problem area? (door optics) Any ideas where the 4 wires would go so i dont fry the board?

On a side note I noticed the little black battery on the cpu (not the silver one) is leaking acid. Safe to remove?  What are 2 batteries for on the cpu? Is the leaking one a redundant one to the silver? Thanks! JR

Your post probably should have been in the S2000 forum.  There's been a couple of threads on the S2000 nicad batteries, here's a link to one of them: http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=7775.0  Get rid of the green/blue/black nicad battery before it damages your board, if it hasn't already.  Since you're getting Door Open M messages I suspect it has.  If you have another MPU board, swap it out.  If the error message goes away you'll know your board is bad.
