I have a gamemaker V7000 with a DBV200 installed. This head was ordered from Rocky Mountain Slots and was tested. When running the diagnostics is says protocol error and starts a count. It will then say communications error. This is uspect is due to the protocol error. The chip in the DBV head is a 044P/045P protocol. Have tried the head with switch 10 in both positions. This machine was set up as a demo machine in the casino if that helps. Also when doing a full ram clear andsetup the machine says the jurisdicition is locked and won't change.Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Module 2 for the gamemaker says when selecting JCM DBV as the bill acceptor this sets the communications protocol for DBV145 and DBV146. Is this true ????? I am tring to use a DBV200. If this is true can I change the mains and use a DBV200 ????? Thanks

The lock Jurisdiction is in the games main chips I would install V7MX000C2104-24 Gives you lots of options and uses the DBV 200

You mention it was used in demo mode at casino. If you still have in demo mode after your eeprom/ram clear, dbv will not work, but may appear active. Here's a link if your Gamemaker is stuck in demo mode. Note document at bottom.

The last time I had a communication error on my gamemaker while swapping DBV's I was off one pin on the board that plugs into the side of the bill acceptor. Not sure if this is the problem but worth a try
